It is with a heavy heart that I announce that long time #SOE soldier, SIBA veteran, & owner of @SibaLinx @DubThompson_ passed away last night in a freak car accident. Dub Wallace was not just only a die hard SIBA member, he was also a good friend to many of us. He will be greatly missed. In SIBA we ban scammers. Dont matter who, dont matter how much. Every other league is so desperate for clout & players they cant do what we do, uphold the same character standards. Thats why the 2K community is shit. And even with these leagues not banning scumbags, they still cant get a full season in, or fill a whole bracket. We have finished our 1st officially Clan Wars month. It was a huge success thanks to our partner @GGverse_app we paid out over $1k to the winners last night. We look forward to next month. We are still looking for Clans that want to compete In the Clan Wars. Here are the guidelines: - Each Clan MUST have a discord and server tag - Each player must be in the Liquid Server in order to participate in Clan Wars. - It’s $50 per Team and depending on the your team and how you play will determine which bracket you will be in. We currently have about 36 teams and about 25 clans participating. If you want your clan to play please dm me @cchoops246 asap.

SIBA is what the 2K League always should have been. A meritocracy that cares less about the chats & circles you run in and more about the work you put in on the court. Not everyone has hundreds of dollars to drop on a LAN event to showcase their talents in front of pro scouts, & there was no true developmental pipeline at all for the 2KL. This is what the whole raw prospect to high school to college to pro progression/filter is for. If you make it to SIBA pro, you've earned it. Period. You couldnt get a spot on a college team if you weren't good enough to be offered a scholarship to one of the 20 SIBACL teams, and you cant get on the pro draft board unless you complete at least 1 season of college level ball. This is how sports is supposed to work, virtually or otherwise. Aside from player development, of which we do better than any league/org out there by a wide margin, we've also been focusing on coaching development. Turning players who aren't elite on the sticks to experienced strategists & savvy front office maestros. Scouting talent, managing rosters, filling in the gaps between the stars on the team & role players, managing personalities, and getting the most out of your players is an acquired skill. A skill many people are learning in SIBA using the same high school ---> college ---> pro trajectory the players use. SIBA has always held the mantra that players play, coaches coach. The changes we're implementing starting Season 37 will reflect that belief. The only pro coaching candidates that will be able to be considered for a coaching job will be those that work their way up from high school, thru college. This is the way it USED to be. We changed it to accommodate the new ownership program. We will be returning to that method, as it is in the best interest of the league, and pro am in general, going forward. Players play, coaches coach. Anyone serious about coaching, developing players, leading from the sidelines, will be the ones that follow this pathway. Those that choose not to, will play. In the end, everyone will end up exactly where they always belonged. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
