Just to clarify…I was not talking about Groce to Charleston as a lateral move. He’s doubling his salary. Charleston is an incredible city. One of my all-time favs. Also has amazing resources. There are other coaches in the MAC who are trying to make lateral moves.

MAC Basketball is in a weird spot. The conference should be celebrating a historic year. Instead, the top players have $2 million offers on the table that are unmatchable & multiple coaches are trying to leave for lateral or small upgrade jobs. I get it. But it just sucks.

When my guy calls for the ABS and he’s right by 0.16, he has a Tony Gwynn eye. When the opponent does it, it’s “close enough”. I’m going to be incredibly frustrated all season.

Idea for @MLB… What if instead of a “rainout date” immediately after Opening Day, that date is the day after the series? Opening Day still shifts to the next day & the 1st series finishes at the same time. But it removes the Opening Day hangover for the fans. Just a thought.

UMass had a rough 2025 season going 0-12 but the program is 8-68 the last seven seasons so nobody was truly surprised. Head Coach Joe Harasymiak has his hands full trying to build this program from literally nothing and it's no easy task but the 2026 Recruiting Class could be the start. The 2026 UMass Recruiting Class is the BEST IN PROGRAM HISTORY by AVG Recruit Ranking. The 83.94 AVG is 1.5 points higher than the 2025 class. 3 star QB Aedan McCarthy is 6'5 with a good arm, with some development he will be a name to know in the #MAC in a few years. 3 star WR Kai Owens was a great addition, he has the size & skills to contribute early and 3 star DL Samuel Mulbah is another player with major upside. This 2026 class is very good compared to UMass standards and a good start to turning the program around by Head Coach Harasymiak.

@Zig2K Another message that I'm not a fan of is him saying all that matters is those 8 MAC games. Wrong attitude. All 12 games matter and actually the two damn FCS matter even more cause you lost last year. If you lose one of those games, it's over. Just focus on Rutgers.
