@ctantichrist @Steve78631590 @BitcoinRachy Ensure you only accept transactions your RDTS-enabled node displays as confirmed. Inform your acquaintances so they can do the same. If you have miners, or own equity in mining companies, get them signalling RDTS ASAP.

BIP-110 continues to be portrayed by the uninformed as being similar to Bitcoin Cash, because supposedly the goal is to fork off and create a new coin. Nothing is further from the truth. BIP-110 tightens the rules, unlike Bitcoin Cash, and is a pretty basic proposal:
Majorian / BIP-110@MajorianBTC

Don't let Big Bitcoin steer you in the wrong direction, BIP-110 is not an attack on bitcoin. The proposal is very simple, here is a summary: Credit: @kwsantiago Link to full article: privkey.substack.com/p/bitcoin-has-…

It's a gamble at this point. If RDTS fails, Bitcoin is over. If it succeeds, the sky's the limit. Keep in mind if Bitcoin fails, the whole economy is in for some REALLY bad times ahead. You also have to ask him what he's considering besides Bitcoin... fiat is doomed no matter what. There is no "safe savings" right now. Bitcoin is our last good chance. This is not financial advice.

@GrassFedBitcoin There is no certainty. Miners are waiting until the last minute to decide whether to signal or not. However, signaling has no downside regardless of which consensus rules prevail, while not signaling carries significant risk for them if the RDTS consensus rules end up prevailing.

BIP-110 is not being rejected in any meaningful way. The FUD around confiscation was uttered in bad faith along with the other complaints against it. However it lacks *active support*. The majority of the industry is ambivalent. Despite the grassroots support for it, they would rather ignore it than take an active role in its success (or failure of course). This can be construed as rejection if you like, but that's not an accurate perspective in my opinion. The resulting situation is continued ambiguity around what the consensus rules of Bitcoin will be in August. I envy those who talk in certain terms about what to expect.

When BIP110 activates, there are two likely scenarios. 1) We all migrate to BIP110 cleanly and ₿itcoin chugs along. 2) A lot of ignorant jerkoffs cause a chain split, the BIP-110 supporters use their duplicate coins to rent more hash and ₿itcoin chugs along leaving body bags in its wake.

Too all the special needs blue button pushers i say: A chain split creates a lot of coins to rent hashpower with to whipeout the legacy chain. Consider yourself warned as a hodler, a payment processor or any kind of business thats accepts bitcoin payments or deposits.

People are starting to push the red button. Not my favorite way to characterize it, but the least disruptive scenario is the one where everyone just runs BIP-110/pushes red. All the concerning scenarios are (unsurprisingly) where there are two sets of consensus rules.

@btctrek Yes. Even in the case of a contentious chain split, the #BIP110 chain will eventually be recognized as the original Bitcoin.

It won't be #Knots that forks from #Bitcoin Core in September. It will be Core forking due to them not being compatible with blocks that Knots wins. Core WILL bend the knee, but it will be far past September when it happens. #prediction #future

Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?

Today, the only real bitcoiners are: 1) running a Knots Bitcoin Node AND 2) are BIP-110 adopters. All the other, even the ones running a node are NOT, simply because they are a) not up to date (=careless with their life savings) or b) are altcoiners calling themselves bitcoiners.

Could everyone with a GitHub account please "star" this repository? This gives it greater credibility as the official repository. Plus, public open-source projects with high star counts can get free credits for some of the GitHub offerings. We need at least 500 stars. 1000 preferred.
Dr -ck@ckpooldev

There's a lot of confusion regarding the official git for ckpool since I've been using bitbucket, leading people to find forks on github thinking it's the correct repository. To clear up the confusion I've created an official github mirror. github.com/ckolivas/ckpool

@Borat_suxess @BigSeanHarris No, it only takes one malicious miner (ie, running Core 30+) to force Bitcoin nodes of ANY type from now until the end of time, to actively participate in CSAM distribution.

@Kilombino_ I'm also surprised that no large miner has truly grasped Bitcoin’s value proposition and still keeps hashing for the major mining pools. Even if they never do, they should at least have an economic incentive to leave FPPS pools and move to OCEAN for better rewards

Miners who don't hodl bitcoin aren't incentivized to protect the network. I can't understand how large miners haven't grasped the value proposition and don't hodl any bitcoin, but if those kinds of miners exist, please, start unplugging your machines little by little and leave.
