@LoveIsBitcoin21 stupid argument: ALL file sharing protocols on the internet use TCP/IP. fricken nonsense. stop it. #Bitcoin is a tcp-ip sub-protocol of its own, like none before it.

Adam Back just destroyed BIP 110 with one question: "Could you stop spam by modifying TCP/IP?" No. Because TCP/IP is ungovernable. So is Bitcoin. The test is perfect. BIP 110 is dead. Fork off or get with the program.

If #Knots #RDTS doesn't win, I will never again think of #Bitcoin as invincible. I am sure a lot of people share my view. I need to see good ideas win, over #mining #strength, to believe in the network effect.

The reason Core #Bitcoin devs block opinions on Bitcoin Talk & Reddit is because their position is indefensible. They fall to scrutiny. #money #Knots

1) People on both sides of BIP-110 have a strong emotional attachment to "not changing bitcoin"... and for good reason. There are 2 ways of looking at this change. BIP-110 is a change to technical consensus, but it reverts a change to functional consensus.

You gotta stop and wonder why all the largest accounts supporting BIP-110 don’t want their followers to bet on its success. They wouldn’t want to get blamed for their followers losses once BIP-110 fails, now would they?

#AI will result in "virtual countries", not physical borders. The world is about to change. Soon, your government will be replaced by a virtual group you follow, led by #AI. #Bitcoin will be its currency.

@soapminer1 @TheSurvivalPodc @bendthekne3 Start9's company node, the one we use to sell servers and pay out employees, is Knots/BIP-110. StartOS itself is completely and irrevocably neutral by design. We don't and wouldn't want to restrict anything

plebs should be allowed to vote in a “pleb consensus”. where they can go and feel really good about what they’re virtue signaling for like bip 110 or 1 kb blocks and they can play with trinkets and btc trading cards while they wait but none of the votes are counted or matter.

You do not need to run your Bitcoin node all the time. Just connect when needed and sync to the latest block height!

It's temporary to make sure it doesn't close any doors that shouldn't have been closed. Taproot had consensus, and would probably have been good if people actually used it for it's stated purposes. However, >99,9 of the OP_IFs on-chain today aren't, and weren't even ever intended to be executable, so something clearly has to be done about that. And I personally have no idea why any bitcoiner would ever need more than a 40 bytes-sized OP_RETURN field ever, since you can fit a hash of anything into that. BIP-110 is a tiny temporary tightening of the rules to send a clear signal to all the scammers that: 1) Bitcoin is money 2) You're not, and will never be, welcome here 3) We can and will work against you and make your lives harder 4) Bitcoin's users make the rules, not you Etc. etc. Also, the worst thing that can even theretically happen to honest bitcoin users is that they'll be forced to hodl for a year (and it takes quite a lot of skill to put yourself in that position). I have no idea why anyone except the scammers themselves would have anything against it 🤷‍♂️

@SpaceXEduX @steverabinow it just moves, what was previously configurable with a suoer relay policy override, to be "concensus required". once workarounds are established by spammers, then more rules can be set for those as well. so.... filtering works, in reality. Core just pretends otherwise.

@btctrek @steverabinow Right but when ordinals et al modify their protocols libre relay will forward these consensus valid transactions. This is why the bip saying the real place to fix this in policy is confusing to say the least.

It's interesting to me that NOT 1 single Core v.30 proponent has been able to factually debate my posts (although Wicked has strong arguments). Instead, I get viscous fear mongering and insults. I smell #fear on their end. Run #Bitcoin #Knots. Signal #RDTS.
