@_colourorange @w_s_bitcoin because if the minority, let's say 45%, cause enough missed rewards and reorgs, others WILL choose to switch to #Knots for easier mining. What you don't get is the game theory around Knots being compatible with any broader-ruled chain BUT not vis-versa.

@btctrek @w_s_bitcoin can you explain your position? if BIP110 activates with an economic minority, why would hashrate be incentivized to switch and mine the BIP110 chain? if the BIP110 chain has minority hashrate, why would other non-BIP110 miners switch to mine the BIP110 chain?

@btctrek If BIP-110 gets an economic majority, then the miners will follow. But without the majority hashrate, all older clients will simply stay on the heaviest (non-BIP-110) chain.
