An old client of mine used pure AI to code a big new feature for the app I ve been building for them for the past two years. I took a glimpse at the code, DB design was off, security policies were off, rate limits not covered. I ended up sending a respectful message, outlining the problems and communicating that I won’t accept any responsibility for maintaining this new feature.

Remember back in the day Notion used to charge for its own AI? Connected claude code via mcp to notion today. Now I can prompt anything in my notion. Building my own lightweight custom crm inside notion to keep track of my prospects.

‼️🚨 BREAKING: A new npm supply-chain attack uses a dead-man's switch. The payload plants a watcher on your machine that nukes your home directory the second you revoke the GitHub token it stole from you. The compromise happened today, across 42 official tanstack npm packages, 84 malicious versions in total. tanstack/react-router alone pulls more than 12 million weekly downloads. The attacker forked TanStack's repository and pushed a single hidden commit. From there, they tricked TanStack's own release system into signing the malicious packages as if they were the real thing. To npm, and to anyone checking the cryptographic proof of origin (SLSA provenance), the poisoned versions looked 100% legitimate. Maintainer Tanner Linsley confirmed the whole team had 2FA enabled. It didn't matter. This is the first documented npm worm in history that ships with a valid, signed certificate of authenticity, the same one defenders rely on to know a package wasn't tampered with.

Today I had a conversation with a guy who has been in business for 10 years more than me. He asked me are you a developer or are you a business person. I realized right now I am doing both. The developer ego sometimes blocks the business side. He was right, I have to choose one.

Might be a contradictory opinion, I just have a really hard time working with ADHD people. The chaos just knocks me off balance. I have tried different things to make it work, I have always failed in the past.

@S0_And_S0 Helpful as always. Empathy is a great, I have tried my best to empathize as well. Without correct systems in place things might get destructive. Overall I agree with you it can be frustrating but with correct systems in place could be manageable (taking back my statement 😄)

Things I've tried before and worked is cutting direct communication if a client is ADHD, and having a layer that does the communication between me and the client. For example, instead of speaking with the CEO directly, the communication channel becomes between me and the ops person. That distance creates some sort of space and makes things more managable. I'm pretty explosive myself, so when I'm in the blast radius, I ll explode as well, rather than being able to make the space. Would love to hear what u have tried in the past.

I observe that the way I use ai in conversations has shifted from I have X problem give me the solution, to I have X problem, Y solution to address the problem, critic my Y solution.

I setup Claude code with shopify cli for my girlfriend so she can change stuff directly on her shopify herself. She keeps watching the terminal and says “bash curl”, I never thought I would hear those words coming out of her mouth. Strange times

Whenever you see someone on a big podcast saying there is opportunity to be made from x for companies, don't buy it. If Mark Cuban comes on a podcast and says there is free money on the table for helping companies adapt AI and it has 10 million views, now everyone and their grandmother are gonna be "an AI specialist". Don't buy the noise, the noise is there for your attention, not to make you money.

The other day I was trying to scrape a cold email list, letting AI drive the whole process. I was able to get to a list of 2000 leads, however when I was going through the list most of the websites weren't real and emails were not legit. My learning was, if I don't have a skill in a particular area, instead of letting AI to drive the process, I need to focus on learning the skill, and then automating it peace by peace and drive the AI in my desirable direction rather than letting the AI to drive to abyss.
