HEARTWARMING: #49ers All-Pro tackle Trent Williams says that after his cancer diagnosis his doctors told him they did not know if he would live much longer. “Every time I go into a locker room, every time I put the helmet on. I flash back and think about the time when Doc said, ‘Get your affairs in order.’” The doctors told Trent, “You need to get closer to your girls. It looks pretty serious, I don’t know how long you got left. You need to get your affairs in order.” Williams underwent surgery and removed the tumor, losing 30% of his scalp, with skin grafts and hundreds of stitches. Trent beat cancer, rehabbed, and has since gone on to be a multi-time All-Pro and Pro Bowler, becoming one of the greatest tackles in league history. One of the best stories in league history.

You don’t see real miracles on your timeline every day. Today you will. Jayden Rich is 19 years old. After a devastating motorcycle accident, his injuries were so severe that doctors had to place him in a medically induced coma to protect his brain and control swelling. They needed to reduce pressure inside his skull and give his body a chance to survive the trauma. He was listed as critical and the road ahead was expected to be long and uncertain. Fast forward, and this kid is walking with assistance. He spoke his first words six weeks into rehab. He’s grinding through physical, speech, and cognitive therapy every single day. What you’re about to see is not small progress. It’s survival turning into strength. He gave me happy tears. This isn’t just steps and smiles. It’s grit. It’s fight. It’s a 19 year old who refused to quit. His comeback is nothing short of remarkable, and I’m grateful we get to witness it.
