@adamboxer1 I also think people who say that one way systems, silent corridors etc are “evil” have never been in genuinely unpleasant and even dangerous corridors at lesson cross-over where students literally get (often unintentionally) injured or pushed around
Those who can, take on difficult schools and get brilliant results for the students who need it most.
Those who can't, bitch about it on Twitter.
Replies to this are sadly all too predictable
@Brummie_HT They can and they do. Somerset has kindly limited their consultation emails to every Monday during the holidays, teacher workload in mind 🤯
Very annoying that the LA can send an email to a generic school email address which is not checked regularly during a holiday to give you a deadline of 15 days to respond or they will place a child with an EHCP on roll. All very underhanded and unnecessary. @gfreeman2012
Flora Cooper is a hero who has started a conversation today that OFSTED themselves should have had. They are supposed to ‘support the profession’. They do nothing of the sort. Flora is a hero.
.@Ofstednews should pause all its inspections and reflect upon the unmanageable and counter-productive stress they cause for school leaders, and the impact on leaders.

A headteacher has said she is ‘taking a stand’ and is refusing to let Ofsted inspect her school after the death of Ruth Perry, who took her own life after her school was downgraded to ‘inadequate’ lbc.co.uk/news/john-rank…
Between 2012 and 2019, the proportion of pupils reaching the expected standard in phonics rose from 58% to 82%. I’m hugely grateful to the brilliant @NickGibbUK, the Schools Minister who has driven these improvements forward over the past 13 years. ✏️ 2/3
I have always loved reading and #WorldBookDay is a perfect opportunity to share our favourite books. One of my all-time favourites is Pride and Prejudice. 👇🏻 1/3
@pnjfoster Did we put about the cheese in the advert? This is a huge oversight if not. I’m sure. @ZoeStucki could offer cheddar tastings with a school tour for interested candidates.
