Question 3 today and the perfect opportunity to trial the new scaffolding sheet 🙏 Our average independent response score went up 55% after using the sheet, so hopefully it makes a lasting impact!

We have used the same tea brand for ages in our house and are thinking of changing it up. Just out of curiosity what do you think is the best tea?

Asking for a friend: Schools who do whole cohort MFL at GCSE - how do you manage mock speaking exams for students? Any tips on staffing/timetabling/creative solutions welcome!

3 years ago, we made 📖reading for pleasure📚our focus @FearnhillSchool. 56% of yr 7 cohort had below chronological age reading age and 29% struggled with phonics. So, how did we do it? Here's 1 powerful thing we did that worked. #teamenglish #Reading

Recently my department have really focused on improving reading fluency and comprehension (also a whole school focus). It was great to receive some positive feedback on this in a recent Ofsted deep-dive. Here are some strategies we have been using - THREAD:

@PaulGarvey4 We have a @schoolnamemissingstudents email. Staff email 5 minutes into the lesson if a student has previously been marked in but is absent from their lesson.Goes to HOY/SLT. It's cracked down on this issue beyond measure and increased our safeguarding response immeasurably too!

By DM. An interesting one. I’ve picked up nothing unusual, but some may have: ‘Are colleagues seeing more in-school truancy this year - pupils arriving, but then not going to lessons & hiding? If so, how are they tackling it? Any help would be appreciated.’ Skiving off!
