If you put your kid in this “training” at 7yo it is nothing more than a fancy daycare At 7-14yo your kid doesn’t need training or to specialize in a sport. They need to be a kid. Play multiple sports. Play pickup sports with their friends outside. Not every waking moment needs to be scheduled for kids. If you disagree with me then go listen to all the pro athletes who say the same thing
Joey Bergles@JoeyBergles

I train kids from every sport imaginable. They all train as “athletes” If a 7-14 year old gets more athletic - they’ll get better at their sport.

@pbreit @bobbyfijan Bc they serve ALL kids. As they should. They don't get to cherry pick their student population

It really comes down to whether or not you have kids. Not in terms of being scared … but if you want to send your kids to a “good” school it’s very expensive in any City that is actually walkable Either to buy a house in certain school catchments or to pay for private school
Katrina 🇺🇸🇨🇳🇲🇽@zapatas_mom

Americans… this is a good faith question. I’m not baiting or trolling. Why are you so scared of condos and walkable cities? Does not having to drive for your groceries freak you out? What about it makes you uncomfortable? Please be honest.

@bobbyfijan Schools and Race are the issue. Many white middle class families often don't want their kids in a majority minority student population. It's called white flight for a reason and it keeps us from making progress in public schools

🚨 NEW: Pro-Trump CNBC host Joe Kernen slams studio table in FIERY interview with former transportation sec Pete Buttigieg after he accused Trump of “chickening out” in Iran War. BUTTIGIEG: Joe, Joe, America is weaker, because the president launched this war. KERNEN: Well, that’s your opinion. BUTTIGIEG: No, no, but it’s clear. And I’ll tell you why. Because when Trump… KERNEN: We had the secretary of NATO say the world is a safer place, he just said that yesterday. BUTTIGIEG: His job is to butter up the president, but why do you think the president chickened out on his demand? KERNEN: SLAMS TABLE. BUTTIGIEG: Why do you think the president backed off of his demand? The president said… KERNEN: Backed off of which demand? BUTTIGIEG: Unconditional surrender. Right now, instead of unconditional surrender, which was the president’s demand just one month… KERNEN: This is not over yet, number one.

There is not a single country in Europe with a fertility rate above the replacement rate. As median age of women in Europe is 46, it’s too late to reverse it. Assume two things: 1. Your real estate will lose value 2. Your pension won’t be enough to keep your living standard

When the 2026 World Cup was announced for the United States back in 2018, I told myself there was no way I’d miss it. I was going to be there in person, experiencing a World Cup on home soil and I know so many of you felt the exact same way. Fast forward to now, and the ticket prices are completely astronomical. Outrageously unaffordable. What was supposed to be the dream of a lifetime has been priced out of reach for regular fans like me. I’m going to miss watching my country host the biggest event in sports… something I may never get to experience again in my lifetime. Yes, they’re going to make money off this massive event on U.S. soil. But the greed has gone too far. It’s ruining the beautiful game and turning it into something only the wealthy can enjoy. A World Cup should be for everyone not just those who can drop thousands without blinking. This is an absolute shame.

Michigan's athletic department budget is one of the highest in the country. It's men's basketball program spent just $14.4M, ranking 26th in the country, a fraction of UConn's $21.6M budget. But it was the Wolverines who cut the net down last night. By @achristovichh ⬇️

@Brandon_M_Ellis @aaron_renn Great commuter rail actually. You can have it both in Chicago. I say that as someone who owns SFH "in town" . Chicago basically invented the suburb

@aaron_renn Then they have families, get entrenched in their jobs and communities while the commuting stress and high taxes/expenses choke them, and they find they cannot easily leave.

Want to see what a team of full transfers looks like? Watch Michigan celebrating a national title. Not even Dusty May is that excited. Bunch of guys who got enough $$ & formed a team. Not a group that actually had to grind for their program. Now the landscape of college hoops

Do you know how miserable millennial Michigan fans were at one point, like very recently? Words can’t explain what Dusty May & Jim Harbaugh did to a generation of almosts. Two losses in the CBB final. Donte DiVincenzo. Burke’s block. JT was short. TCU, etc. What a relief it is.

@TomFornelli Exactly At some point you've done all you can do. Prepped all you can. I'm sure watching IL/UCONN was refreshing at that point.

The part of this discourse I couldn't get over was the idea that May watching the game was taking away from time to prep his team as if they hadn't had an entire week off. If Michigan wasn't prepped for Arizona by that point what the hell had they been doing all week?
CBS Sports College Basketball 🏀@CBSSportsCBB

"The prep is so short anyway... I can save myself some time in the middle of the night... And also, I'm a fan of the sport." @umichbball's Dusty May on why he decided to watch UConn-Illinois in person before facing Arizona at the Final Four

You can’t teach this as a coach. Dusty knew Arizona’s size was going to make it hard to throw lobs to Mara/Morez, so during Cadeau’s 2/14 FG start, MANY of them weren’t even shot attempts. They were just lobs off the glass. How soon did you see it? The first play of the game. Cadeau had ZERO intention of making this shot. It counted as a FG attempt, but it was a perfectly placed alley-oop off the glass to Mara. This was one of MANY.
SkinsHoops86@SkinsHoops86

Nice read from @Williams_Justin "Dusty May & his staff were concerned about throwing ... lob passes against the Wildcats’ length. So they cooked up something new, 39 games into the season "It’s the genius of Dusty, something he saw in film," said Mike Boynton Jr

I know people don't like Hurley, but UConn is clearly the good guy in this title game. Michigan purchased almost its whole team out of the portal. Only one starter played there last season. If this is the future of CBB, that's pretty sad. I think I'd rather Duke win it.
