Someone explain to me on a Smackdown when the entire show was about setting up NXT vs OG’s for next Saturdays. On a week when Cena did every show under the sun talking about how he wanted to pay it forward on the way out that they heard the fans, read social media, had a chance to pivot and they still went with chalk. If you wanted a great fast paced match Gunther is not the guy. If you wanted someone who could use the rub to catapult into 2026 Gunther not the guy. When you are head of creative you HAVE to have the ability to pivot and make changes if the changes make for a better outcome. Instead we get what all of us predicted a month ago when this started. So why did we even have the tournament? 🤷🏾♂️
