Two Iranian ballistic missiles made direct impacts in Israel’s Negev Desert.
The first struck the Rotem Amfert phosphate fertiliser plant, while the second likely hit an open area at the Haifa Chemicals facility.
Both sites are located 6 to 8 kilometres from the Dimona nuclear facility.

@Mikeggibbs Not a polar vortex. The term describes a dramatic dip, or bulge in the jetstream that allows Arctic air to flow far south. Here the flow is mostly zonal — west to east with minor variation. Right now, people north of it are cold, and people south of it have mild or hot weather
