@peterwalker99 Hi Peter. Adjacent issue is the standing charge. Energy companies will increase both the unit energy cost AND the standing charge, meaning that saving energy will still not result in lower costs. For me this is an under reported scandal. Would love *someone* to look at this…

Can anyone explain, politically, why the Tory leadership debate on energy independence has been entirely about new power sources and not at all about using less, eg home insulation? Both need government intervention & money. Can’t only be because Ed Miliband supports insulation…
