🚨 Fortnite v41.00: Everything Creators Need to Know Before Updating Epic just published the v41.00 Known Issues and Pre-Release notes. Biggest creator-facing changes: ⚠️ Follow Creator Device Change • The Follow Creator button will be removed from the Developer Profile Link device on June 25 • Following creators will happen through Fortnite's Exit Flow instead • If your map tells players to use the device, you'll need to update those callouts ⚠️ Verse / Scene Graph Change • Projects using UnrealEngine .com/SceneGraph will stop compiling • Must be changed to /Verse.org/SceneGraph ⚠️ Validation Warnings Become Errors • Illegal Property Override warnings will now block publishing and session launches • Worth checking before updating projects Known Issues in v41.00 • Several Live Edit bugs are being tracked • Scatter Tool can prevent Push Changes from working • Spatial Profiler sessions can disconnect if UEFN goes idle • Memory Snapshot button may appear disabled • Multiple shotguns only reload 2 shells at a time • Sun bloom may appear overly bright on Switch • Custom rarity items show incorrect rarity glow when dropped • Custom HUD health bars may not display correctly on PC Community Fixes Shipping in v41.00 ✅ Server degradation caused by entity spawning/despawning ✅ Physics Materials exposure issues ✅ Session launch cook errors ✅ Fortnite not closing properly after launching from UEFN ✅ Client crashes related to entity spawning/despawning

🚨 Epic says thumbnails are becoming a bigger Discover signal. In Epic's updated Discover documentation, they state that thumbnail best practices will have an even greater impact on island visibility starting in June 2026. Some of the thumbnail guidelines Epic highlights: • Accurately represent your gameplay • Be unique and original • Avoid misleading players • Follow Fortnite's content guidelines • Focus on clear visual communication Worth keeping an eye on.

🔵❤️ NEW & UPDATED IN DISCOVERY ARE FIXED! Epic adressed the "10min" issues with "New" & "Updated" categories. Maps appear to have around 40-90 minutes of testing, confirming the previous rollout was an issue. Maps gain more impressions with more testing CCU! #UEFN #FNCreate

@FNCreate Quick question. This new doc says average playtime and QPTR but we are not able to view those metrics. We used to be able to see average playtime until the old analytics tab was disabled. How are we supposed to know these metrics for our islands?

What do you guys think about this Discover Idea? If your Stats are the best out of New or Updated you move to "Best Newcomer"-> if your Stats are the best there you move to "Trending Now" A clear path to the top for every creator who puts in the effort @FNCreate #uefn

Today (March 11) Epic’s new Developer Rule 1.9.1 goes live. No more spam islands. Publishing multiple copies of the same island or metadata to manipulate Discover can now result in: • Monetization penalties • Island removal • Account suspension Epic also said automated tooling is coming soon to stop these from being published in the first place.

Here’s a quick clip showing how to convert identical meshes into an Instanced Static Mesh (ISM). 1️⃣ Select all identical meshes (same mesh + material) 2️⃣ Open Modeling Tools → XForm 3️⃣ Click Harvest Instances 4️⃣ Set Component Type to Non-Hierarchical (ISM) 5️⃣ Name the actor and Accept You’ve now converted all those meshes into a single actor. If the material looks broken, open the material and enable “Used with Instanced Static Meshes” in the usage flags. This is just the beginning of the ISM optimization rabbit hole, have fun! @FNCreate
