I have decided to step back from @multicoin. It's a bittersweet moment for me because my time at Multicoin has been some of the most meaningful and rewarding of my life. That said, I am excited to take some time off and explore new areas of technology.
After nearly a decade in crypto, I’m more confident than ever that crypto is going to fundamentally rewire the circuitry of finance. I believe the Clarity Act will unlock a tidal wave of new entrants and spur adoption unlike anything we’ve seen. I remain bullish on crypto, specifically Solana, and intend to continue making personal investments in the space and supporting Multicoin portfolio companies. Moreover, I will continue to serve on the board of @zama, and I will continue in my role as Chairman at Forward Industries (@FWDind). More on Forward in next tweet.
It goes without saying that I also remain bullish on Multicoin. My partners @tushar_jain, Brian Smith, @johnrobertreed, @mattshap1, @xethalis, @SpencerApplebau, and @shayonsengupta are some of the best investors and operators in the world. Digital Art and NFTs have already changed the way we perceive, distribute, and value art. The emergence of a platform like @zero________one has added a new dimension to this transformation. At its core, @zero________one is an experiment in redefining the dynamics of artistic value and exchange. By enabling artists to collect 10 editions of other artworks upon minting one piece of their own, it aims to democratize art distribution.
This essentially creates a pool of art exchange where every artist becomes both a creator and a collector. Every edition will be possible to trade on secondary with 20% royalty in the future.
The catch here is the zero-cost infrastructure, eliminating the often-prohibitive gas fees or general monetary limitations that deter many from participating in the ETH NFT space.
But many voices fear the devaluation of Art, something digital creators had to fight many years to obtain. Now many are scared that this idea is just another part in the downward spiral for digital Art’s valuations.

This model challenges the traditional systems where art's value is primarily dictated by galleries or wealthy collectors. Here, every artist gets a say, fostering a more inclusive ecosystem.

Artists can gain visibility and recognition in a pool where every mint can potentially lead to multiple collectors.
𝟑. 𝐑𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲: Without Ethereum's notorious gas fees and averaging high costs to collect artworks, artists with limited means can still partake in this digital art movement and become collectors of digital Art.
