I don't really share TMI here but this post deserves that vulnerability, because this is about one of the most constant issue of my life.
Being an XS size person, I’ve struggled with clothing for as long as I can remember. 🫠
My earliest shopping memories are from small local stores where everything started at Medium.
Nothing ever fit. Nothing ever felt comfortable.
So I defaulted to shirts and jeans.
Loose fits. Safe fits.
Clothes where the lack of fit wasn’t too obvious.
During COVID, I discovered online shopping and honestly, it felt revolutionary.
For the first time, I could find XS / S.
But even then…
I never found a single feminine top or dress that didn’t hang loose on me.
I was always 5 steps away from my dream fit.
When “adult money” entered the picture, I explored bigger brands. 💰
Surely they would have my size, right?
Nope.
Most of them stopped at Small.
Somewhere along the way, I quietly accepted this belief:
Maybe once my body changes, I’ll finally experiment with fashion.
Cut to September 2025.
I co-hosted a Fashion × AI meetup with @saha_varsha at @virgio_official and I received a dress as a gift.
And wow. The fit. The quality. It genuinely blew my mind.
I ordered more for a trip. Then for Diwali.
And for the first time in my 25 years of life, I wore:
• dresses
• strappy tops
• clothes that felt feminine and made for me
Everything felt… tailored.
Like it was designed with my body in mind.
Since September:
• I’ve bought 38 outfits
• Returned only 4 (which is very low compared to the usual online shopping return/keep ratio)
• Gifted 6 to women I love
The remaining 28 pieces?
They make me feel like a million bucks.
I haven’t worn anything outside of Virgio since.
I don’t even reach for other clothes in my wardrobe anymore.
And knowing the brand is ethical and planet-conscious?
That’s such a big plus.
Now, I wear what I love not just what fits.
And it so damn empowering.
