UPDATE - A49 Onibury roadworks - called a “priority” last year - are still unfinished and missed their April deadline. Residents face longer journeys, safety concerns, and local businesses are suffering. We need answers and a clear completion date.

Last night we forced the Government to cave on the social media ban. They have now committed to implementing a change in access or functionality for u16s on social media. I support this as someone who has seen the dangers of social media for my own children.

@_AndersonStuart If parents like yourself are that concerned you could have taken the smartphone from your kids and supervised their use of the internet so the overwelming majority of the population don't have to live in a digital gulag with a sinister digital ID.

The latest vile antisemitic terrorist attack in London shows that this is now a national emergency. The Conservative Party I lead will not stop until antisemitism is rooted out of British society.

Heating oil support from the government is simply not enough right now. I am standing up for South Shropshire households reliant on heating oil, who have been hammered by rising costs and specifically called for the review of minimum order levels.

Really worrying figures for South Shropshire. Worryingly, 245 young people (18–24) are claiming — up 10 in a month and 40 over the year. I’m calling for more support, including employment vans to reach rural communities and help people into work.
