Illustrating today's Mass readings: "Jesus said to the crowds, ‘The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field which someone has found; he hides it again, goes off happy, sells everything he owns and buys the field. ‘Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls; when he finds one of great value he goes and sells everything he owns and buys it. ‘Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea that brings in a haul of all kinds. When it is full, the fishermen haul it ashore; then, sitting down, they collect the good ones in a basket and throw away those that are no use. After too long teasing good news, now announcing: for academic year 2026-27, I get to be a visiting scholar in Rome. I’ll be writing and teaching as the Aquinas Chair in Philosophy at the Angelicum. Very grateful for support of both the Dominicans and my home institution!

It was a pleasure to visit the Maria de Ágreda Theological Institute in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and its new library. The Institute forms seminarians and the wider Church through study, prayer, and evangelization, resonating with the @_Angelicum Faculty of Theology in its mission!

A storm is gathering… ⛈️ Meanwhile, the storm of the “di grado” exams has just come to an end: 38 baccalaureate (S.T.B.) and 20 licentiate (S.T.L.) theology exams completed — congratulations to everyone! 👏 The second part awaits in Sept. Now it is time for rest and relief.
