I also love to borrow books from the library. I'd better get started reading!!

It was too hot, so I put up the sun umbrella and read in the shade

Yesterday I avoided doomscrolling by: - eating my breakfast outside as it was cooler than the kitchen - reading and finishing Yesteryear - going to Sainsbury's for dh to buy a new TV whilst I looked at clothes. I didn't buy any - watching 2 episodes of 2 weeks in August

Things I did today instead of doomscrolling 1. Woke up way too early so got ahead of the shining hour 2. Read 3. Got my desk/work ready for the week ahead 4. Dried so much laundry the garden looked like a galleon setting sail 5. Read some more

Yesterday I avoided doomscrolling by: - rounding up my recent book purchases so I will read them - picked out Yesteryear and read 200 pages in the sunshine - applied copious amounts of factor 50 sunscreen as it was hot, hot, hot - met my child off the train, back for the weekend

Things I did today instead of doomscrolling 1. Enjoyed the delight that is Stella & Rose's specialty second hand bookshop 2. Appreciated some shade 3. Ate a picnic on a bench 4. Conversed with corvids 5. Read - Shrink Solves Murder

@marybuckley549 Thank you. It's a tiny portion, but I must particularly read hardbacks before they are released in paperback. Though I fear it's too late for some.
