The specific situation where games regularly can’t end is not a necessary function of the format, it is because Rhystic is legal. Again, this is not to say that the problems with cEDH don’t exist, I get it, I don’t need to hear about it in the replies, but Rhystic is a PROBLEM.

Designed a deck to maximize my chances of winning in untimed rounds in top 16. Unfortunately, top 16 isn’t untimed—it’s 3 hours, then the highest remaining seat wins. I reached an unassailable position, but ran out of time. I was too focused on my game rather than the tournament-

solutions to reduce the draw rate, but I don't buy that the game is broken because of it, or that we need radical changes to fix it. Draws are part of this game, just like chess, and if that makes the game not fun for you, then maybe it's not the game you should be playing.

Another night of winning many games with Rog/Ishai.
Big highlight was Apple of Eden winning multiple games including a turn 2 win stealing an insane Rog/Si hand.

@IzumiiMTG @LemorasCards That's really not true. From 2013-2020 green was a top dog and the joke was that red and white weren't comp. Green got steadily worse from 2020-2023 but only really got bad with the printing of obm. At the height of that era there was still top performing green decks.

@HigherMTG @cig_buddha Having played at the top levels in that era, no, Breacher was not a problem. It kept rhystic and tymna in check and was fairly easy to play wheels around.
There was only 1 big tournament placement due to main strat breacher + wheel and that was ian on Rog si in marchesa 2021.
