Former SJSU volleyball star Brooke Slusser says she shared beds with a transgender teammate without knowing that athlete was a biological male. She says she moved into an apartment with that teammate because her coach encouraged her to. Now, SJSU is suing the Trump administration to challenge an investigation that determined the school violated Title IX, and to reaffirm its commitment to the LGBTQ community, all while Slusser is still working on trying to process everything that happened while she lived in that apartment.

This was last Saturday at the @CA_Dem Democratic Party convention in San Francisco when this woman stands next to me with her sign, “Patients Before Politics,” urging democrats to stop the banning of pediatric gender interventions.
Here’s the entire interaction in one clip. Before she threatens to k*ll me, I asked her a series of questions: 1. At what age is a girl mature enough to have top surgery? 2. How did you feel about your body changing as you were going through puberty? 3. Do you think it’s hatred to tell girls they can be healthy and whole? 4. Do you know any transgender children? 5. Do you have a transgender child? 6. And how did they know they were transgender? 7. At what age did you know you were a c-i-s woman? 8. And why did your child think they were transgender? 9. Does your child go to a public school in California? 10. Did they learn there could be 13 gender identities? 11. How much money does a surgeon make off of giving a girl top surgery? 12. Do you think your transgender child might one day have top surgery and a phalloplasty? 13. Is that something you would allow them to have? Today New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and Mayor Zohran Mamdani will unveil a plan for universal child care across the state. Governor Hochul will also announce that she’s “committing to fully fund the first two years” of Zohran's plan for free preschool for all 2-year-olds.
