@Jad_Sattar Happy Birthday to you both!! I feel the same sentiment when I look at my hubby. Together 11.5 years. I live authentically professionally and personally because of this man. I hope yall had the most fantastic day together! ❤️

Today, I turned 38 years old (look at that beautifully wrapped gift by him) 🎂. On May 5th, my husband turned 40 🕯️🧁 Somehow impossible, because when I look at him, I still see the same handsome man with the “salt & pepper” hair that turned my head 11 years ago in a Minneapolis bar. Years earlier, ASD had literally named him an “eligible bachelor, a heartthrob” before this Native American Minnesotan and Wisconsin Badgers alum moved home from teaching Spanish 🇪🇸 internationally in Dubai 🇦🇪. At almost the same period, I was immigrating from Amman, Jordan 🇯🇴 to Minnesota to work at Mayo. Since then, we’ve built a life side by side through some of the hardest and most shocking moments imaginable. He gave me the courage to live openly and authentically 🏳️‍🌈, without fear. So much of my life exists because he stood beside me through all of it. At 40, the silver in his hair somehow fits him even more: steady, kind, handsome, and impossible not to admire. I love you. Happy 40th my love. #representationmatters
