Caching is used at every layer of the stack, including your database. Our latest interactive blog covers how caching works, techniques for improving hit rate, and replacement policies.

I’ve taken the #threejs water realism to the next level! Now with RGB distortion in the caustics, we get even more realistic, colorful light projections. The water movement has been improved to flow naturally, with optimizations for smoother performance. Plus, I’ve added a post-processing effect that simulates underwater distortion, complete with a dynamic waterline when the camera is partially submerged. After diving in, watch out for realistic water droplets on the screen! Stay tuned for the live link coming soon! 🌊💧. You can watch the video with better quality on my YouTube Channel. #threejsJourney #creativecoding #r3f

Biologically modern humans have existed for 2-300k years, but we only got agriculture and civilization ~12k years ago. Why did it take so long?

@yawaramin @htmx_org The templating syntax has pretty much been the same for many years. And you now have to learn how this library handles everything. Either way you're learning something

@_Brendan_Martin @htmx_org Many benefits. No need to learn yet another new templating syntax, can just use Go. Can use full abstraction power–functions, types. Can use all Go functionality directly instead of having to pass them in via maps. Can keep frontend code and handler code right next to each other

@ja3k_ It's easy to manage a single large file with vim or adequate shortcut knowledge, but normal IDE users would have trouble

@ja3k_ what bothers me is that files are ordered lists of lines but directories are unordered sets of files so a file can tell a story in an order but you don't know which file to start reading

@tunahorse21 Just use puppeteer in a lambda behind SQS. All the randomized IPs you could dream of.

Joint replacements are never as good as the real thing because we can't create a material with less friction than natural cartilage. But what about maglev joints? Zero friction newatlas.com/medical/maglev…

@SamAltsMan I like the part where humans have no income. I assume you'll be relinquishing all of your money to the govt when this happens, right?
