Last month was one of the largest monthly reversals ever. Down 10% MTD at one point, but up 10% off those lows. Here's what happens next.

S&P 500 up 6 days in a row and up more than 7% just happened. Only happened 8 other times, but significant outperformance is perfectly normal. Higher six months later 7 out of 8 times and NEVER lower a year later. Another clue the worst is indeed over.

I know many call it voodoo, but the S&P 500 bottomed right at the 2022 peak and a 61.8% retracement from the Oct '23 lows/Feb '25 peak. This was a level we had pegged as a very logical area for strong support. So far, so good.

Over the past two weeks we've seen 6 days with more than 70% advancers on the NYSE. This isn't what you see in a bear market rally or short covering rally. This is how new bullish phases start.

Why does a Zweig Breadth Thrust matter? Since WWII it has happened 18 times and the S&P 500 has never been lower 6 or 12 months later. And trust me, when these triggered the past few years many mocked it.

To say this one more time, what we've seen the past two weeks isn't what you see in bear market rallies. More than 70% advancers on the NYSE six times over the past 10 days. Never lower 6- and 12-months later for the S&P 500.

The S&P 500 is down 14.0% since President Trump took office on 1/20/25. Here is how the past 32 first 100 days did of a new term (back to 1900). As of now, this would be the worst first 100 days out of all of them.

Today is #InternationalWomensDay and its significance is not about recognizing women for their gender. Rather, it is about recognizing that women are still dealing with systematic & societal bias, objectification, & inequality because of their gender.

And with that we have the 2nd all-time high of 2025 for the S&P 500. Since 1957 (when it become 500 stocks) this is 1,243 ATHs out of 17,176 trading days. In other words, a new ATH happens about once every 3 wks. New highs happen, congrats to the investors who remembered.

Best January for the S&P 500 since 2023. Late day sell-off erased the 3% monthly gain, but >2% first months tend to still be quite strong for the full year. Full year up 18.4% on avg and higher nearly 88% of the time.
