Green group have abstained on the budget vote as we did not bring an alternative budget. So cannot in good conscience vote against the Three Towns Alliance proposal. We need full system change not tinkering around the edges.

@_CJR_ Hi Chris, in branch prices are set by the couriers who we sell services on behalf of (e.g. Royal Mail, DPD, EVRi, etc), we do not have any control over this. -Jess

Hey @PostOffice why have I just been into a branch and quoted >£40 untracked >£60 tracked and >£90 priority for sending a parcel when I can get the exact same service starting at £15.79 booking online? How is this fair to people without online access or online literacy?

@3townsalliance @richherrett It's the library gardens, closed aprox 9 years ago due to asb. @SimonRBull and I have been campaigning and working towards getting it reopened as a community garden since. Today was the official reopening with many thanks to local volunteers and BH9 Business community

@richherrett Why was it closed in the first place, but good to see it open? Libraries are a positive focal point for the community.

The scenes in Rafah are horrific. The International Court of Justice has told Israel to stop. Since October 7th, the Green Party of England and Wales has called for: A full bilateral ceasefire The release of all hostages A suspension of all arms export licences to Israel until the violence stops The cessation of all military collaboration with Israel, including use of British bases by Israeli forces, and intelligence sharing Targeted Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against individuals and institutions supporting or facilitating Israel’s occupation of Palestine An investigation by the Metropolitan Police and Director of Public Prosecutions of war crimes committed against UK citizens, or where UK citizens are potential perpetrators The UK government to use its position as a permanent member of the UN Security Council to vote for, rather than abstain on, ceasefire votes Targeted sanctions against key individuals in the Israeli leadership, including travel bans and asset freezes on Israel’s government ministers An end to occupation of the Palestinian territories The UK government to return to international law being the benchmark for UK policy, and repair the UK’s international reputation as a defender of the international rules-based order.

Lets go!! Labour taking a majority seems almost inevitable, so vote Green to ensure we have good strong voices in the room, holding them to account

Continuing UK arms sales to Israel puts the government and Ministers in a clear position of complicity with Israel's war crimes. 69% of Britons want Israel to stop military action in Gaza & favour a ceasefire. The government needs to listen.

@DanielRoyParkin Will be interesting to see how those councils develop with the new systems of governance. As I understand in Bristol currently Labour are refusing to engage

@DanielRoyParkin We discussed a governance review and I support a committee system. We're still having discussions about what the review would look like and also how the process would be funded. I've my eye on Bristol which has just switched to Committee and Brighton which has gone to cabinet

The Green Party cares deeply about the climate. It has never been - and never will be - *only* about the climate. There's no environmental justice without racial, social & economic justice. Speaking out against the atrocities in Gaza is absolutely a Green value.

We are disappointed in the Football Club’s decision towards ticket prices for 24/25. In response, there will be no flags on The Kop for Thursday night’s game. Unlike the Club’s own approach, this has been agreed in consultation with other fan groups
