@corcnacht I'll always prefer the original, where you can clearly tell Monica Taylor Horgan is speaking with a flirtatious smile while Guy Cihi sounds believably flustered. The direction and music are also miles better.

I’m always going to admire the voice acting in the remake, cause the contrast between james’ tone (full of grief and dissociated) and maria’s one (more confident and flirtatious) is oddly pleasant and perfectly describes their character #silenthill #silenthill2 #silenthill2remake

@Arc_Hound Good time to point out that Guy Cihi criticised Blaustein's voice direction as infantile in regards to what he wanted for Silent Hill 2.

I don't know which is worse. The fact that Blaustein thinks he's in a position to criticize Kojima's writing after coming up with the "What is a man" speech in SotN or the fact that he's unable to accept it's bad and blames the voice acting and direction for turning out that way.

Es una pena que Guy Cihi sea tan extraño, y en el sentido negativo de ser un conspiranoico y que haya mentido con que estaba desempleado para trabajar en Silent Hill 2 y que resultara que era millonario (en ese momento). Será el OG James Sunderland, pero no le quita lo raro.

More of Maria's renders, restored and 4K upscaled! It's hard to notice in-game, but Maria has freckles on her chest, which Mary doesn't have! Takayoshi Sato said he gave her freckles and a slight roll of flab at her belly for realism. Since Mary doesn't have freckles, I personally like to think they're James' freckles, as Maria is technically a part of him. #silenthill #silenthill2
