Told @_DannyKnowles how I watched Universal Music executives scream about confiscating The Pirate Bay servers in 2007. They didn't understand the technology they were trying to kill. Needless to say I rage quit that industry.

Danny Knowles: There are only 3 ways out of a debt crisis: default, inflate, or grow. Lyn Alden says the answer is a combination of the last two. "We are already in the period where debt matters. The debasement is already happening." From mid-2020 to 2025, developed world bonds had their worst 5-year stretch in history. FT @LynAldenContact @_DannyKnowles.

Jim Bianco: Every financial crisis starts the same way - treating a structural problem like a temporary liquidity glitch. 2008, 2020, the Asian crisis in 97 - every time Wall Street said "just pump money at it and we'll go back to normal." Every time, it didn't. FT @biancoresearch @BitcoinJesusETH @MilkRoadMacro.

as someone who flies a LOT, i almost never get to experience the hilarious and disruptive airport shenanigans that i see on this app but i was finally blessed. i was flying from a few weeks ago and this guy demanded to be taken off the plan onto the tarmac after we landed. it made no sense, to anyone, but he did get off we were flying LGA > ILM on a friday morning. i was upgraded to first class (@Delta) and was listening to music (kingfishr) on my noise cancelling headphones, totally unaware of the hilarity unfolding behind me. about 15 minutes before we landed at ILM, the flight attendant came over and asked me to confirm my email. i was super confused, took of the headphones and asked why. she said “we’re giving out free miles because of the inconvenience” it was at that point that i heard a man about 5 or 6 rows back, in comfort plus, loudly yelling, though somewhat polite. “i’m just saying, why can’t i get off the flight” “sir, it’s because we haven’t landed yet. we will land in about 10 minutes” “i’m SORRY, i just don’t UNDERSTAND. i don’t FLY A LOT, let me off the flight” he wasn’t scary or threatening really, just screaming loudly and extremely confused when we landed, there was another plan still at our gate so the pilot announced that we’d have to wait about 10 minutes on the tarmac (no big deal, common occurrence, and we were early anyway) the man starts yelling again, saying “well we’ve landed now! let me off!” everyone tries to explain to him that he can get off in 10 mins, but he’s not having it “just open the door now and let me off! i need to get off!” the flight attendant calmly explains that if they open the door on the tarmac and let him out, he will be arrested and likely face a big fine “i don’t care about any of that. i have to get off now!” then very calmly “ok, so you will open the door and let me out?” after a few minutes, they do open the door and then they calmly call the man up. he walks up to the front, steps down the stairs, and is immediately arrested by the sheriff i was on the wrong side of the plan to get a photo so i started begging the passengers on the other side to send me a photo. i asked them to airdrop it (none of us want to share numbers) and inexplicably everyone on that side had android. finally i said “please just hold up your phone and i’ll take a picture”). everyone on the plane was so mad but i wasn’t in any rush and i thought it was the funniest thing of all time. the man wasn’t threatening or scary, just completely an idiot. hope he was OK (i think he was on a combination of drugs and stupidity) and thanks to the delta personnel for handling the incident with poise but to me, the inane and hilarious idiocy was a blessing from God and i praised Jesus for allowing me to finally experience such humor

Update: the App Review Board has confirmed that my Apple Developer account will not be terminated. Sparrow on macOS is safe. Thank you to everyone who shared and reached out in the past 24 hours - I'm grateful. And credit to @Apple for reviewing the appeal and reaching the right outcome. The deeper problem hasn't gone away: apps impersonating @SparrowWallet are still reaching users and putting their funds at risk. I'll keep working to protect people from those scams, and I hope to do so alongside @Apple. Thank you all.
Craig Raw 🐦@craigraw

My attempt to protect users from scam apps on the @AppStore has gotten my Apple Developer account flagged for termination - ironically, for "dishonest activity". Unless it's reversed by June 30, all new installs of Sparrow Wallet will fail, and development on macOS will end. The context: since 2023, more than a dozen fake "Sparrow" apps have appeared on the App Store, as recently as April this year. Users have contacted me after losing their savings, in some cases their life savings, to these impersonators. I'm the developer of the real Sparrow Wallet, a desktop app, and I hold the registered US trademarks for the name and logo. I have publicly warned @Apple and the community about these fake apps from early 2024, but they keep appearing. The app @Apple flagged was a placeholder that was never published. Its only purpose was to warn users that Sparrow is desktop-only and that other "Sparrow" apps aren't mine. This approach may have been misguided, but there was nothing dishonest about it. I'm confident this is an automated misclassification that Apple would reverse on review - but I may be terminated before a human ever looks at my appeal. The cost would fall on @Apple's own users: blocked installs and no updates for a tool people rely on, which opens the door for more fakes. If you value Sparrow, a repost would help. @AppleSupport
