A public health crisis should never be partisan or political. The response to it shouldn't send elected officials and citizens to their respective political corners. If we can't listen to experts or agree on the science, what can we ever agree on? We need to be so much better.

Today, in preempting both local governments AND businesses from keeping their establishments safe, Ron DeSantis decided he cares not about public health, but power. I'm old enough to remember when Republicans at least pretended to be pro-business and for less government.
