What historical fact sounds fake but is true?

This person has published 71 papers in 143 days so far in 2026. That is, 2 days per paper (source: Google Scholar). It's truly amazing. To see someone proud of this.

I am deeply humbled and grateful to learn that my H-index has now reached 140. I was also honored to see that I am currently ranked among the two most-cited researchers worldwide in the fields of Urologic Oncology and Urology on Google Scholar. In addition, my i10-index has reached 1060; that is, one thousand and sixty publications each cited at least ten times. I was told that this may represent a world record – what an extraordinary honor! Nonetheless, these numbers are far less important than the people, mentorship, friendships, and collaborations behind them. This milestone is truly a triumph of team science. I owe immense gratitude to my mentors, colleagues, collaborators, residents, fellows, medical students, and friends who have inspired and supported me throughout this journey over the past two decades. Academic medicine is never an individual accomplishment. It is ultimately about advancing science and medicine, educating future generations, and improving patient care. If our work has contributed even in a small way toward those goals, then I feel extraordinarily fortunate and grateful. Thank you for being part of this journey. The best is yet to come!

🇸🇳 JUST IN: President Bassirou Diomaye Faye Rejects Electoral Bill Linked To Sonko’s 2029 Ambition Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has rejected controversial amendments to the country’s electoral code and returned the bill to parliament for reconsideration, dealing a major political setback to Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. The amendments, passed by Senegal’s National Assembly on April 28 by lawmakers aligned with the ruling PASTEF coalition, would drastically reduce the types of criminal convictions capable of disqualifying candidates from elections. The move would effectively remove the legal obstacles created by Sonko’s defamation conviction, which barred him from contesting the 2024 presidential election. After his disqualification, Sonko backed Faye as his replacement. Faye won the presidency and later appointed Sonko as Prime Minister. President Faye’s refusal to sign the bill is now being viewed as a clear show of authority and one of the strongest indications yet of deepening cracks within Senegal’s ruling alliance. The presidency also cited procedural irregularities surrounding the legislation, including concerns over conflicting versions of the bill circulated during the legislative process. The bill now returns to parliament for further action, setting the stage for a fresh political confrontation inside Senegal’s power structure. The once-solid Faye–Sonko alliance is now openly under strain ahead of the 2029 succession battle.

What’s the worst exposure you’ve ever had on duty? Mine: A very sick child vomited on me while I was checking her blood pressure. It went straight into my mouth 😭 I was salivating for hours after that. What’s yours?
