@CapHornier_ You know that artillery mainly work via fragments than blast pressure alone. Fragments have a much higher lethal range the the blast wave. Only in closed rooms blast pressure is more effectiv than fragments. Get your statistics from a real war. Check the Ukraine statistics 2022/3

@CapHornier_ The rest of the body get the full blast effect and your lungs won't enjoy it. While the better fragmentation protection is important because of the longer range effect of fragments. All in all fragment protection is more important and easier to do than blast protection.

@CapHornier_ Like some other poster wrote, shrapnel/fragmentation caused most of the injuries in WW1 and 2. Your data from Iraq Shows many IED injuiers and this is diffrent than real artillery shells. Check than data oh ww1 and 2 injuries. Also the Adrian only protect the head from the blast

Auch wenn ihr Vater an der Ostfront war, heißt das noch lange nicht das Sie dann den T-34 richtig einordnen bzw bewerten können. Er war keine Wunderwaffe und ohne US Alu, Stahl, Werkzeuge und Pulver......

Bitte versuch mir nichts zu erklären, ich bin nicht nur mit der Literatur gut vertraut, sondern mein Vater war an der Ostfront! Mechanische Probleme hatten alle 2.Wk-Panzer, nicht zuletzt der Tiger!

Was wir anscheinend nicht im Geringsten von den Russen im WW2 gelernt haben. Quantität schlägt Qualität. Was hat es uns damals genützt, dass unsere High-Tech-Panzer, perfekt gebaut und mit neuester Militärtechnik, 10 von deren Schrott-Panzern abschießen konnten, bevor sie selbst zerstört wurden, wenn sie uns 50 geschickt haben? Für den Preis der deutschen KI Drohne kann man vermutlich 100 Alibaba-Drohnen kaufen und mit Kleiderbügeln und Granaten Präzisionswaffen daraus machen. Was wir lernen müssen, ist: Wie stelle ich in einem Zelt mit 3D-Druckern und Kisten voller Motoren und Platinen, 10 km hinter der Front, mit 2 Leuten jeden Tag 20 Drohnen her? Denn wenn der andere das kann und wir nicht, dann nutzt es uns nichts, dass wir 50 topmoderne KI-Drohnen haben, wenn uns dafür täglich 1000 selbst gebaute Drohnen entgegenfliegen.

@Realismusjihad @GFreiNews Doch war es auch beim T-34 und KV-I, Getriebe und Motorschäden, ausgefallene Kühlung, extrem viele T-26 und Bt-5/7 blieben mit mechanischen Schäden liegen... T-40 und T-60 waren auch keine Offenbarung sondern gerade letzterer Notwendigkeiten des Mangels im Krieg.

@GFreiNews Russen hatten keine Schrottpanzer, in der ersten Kriegshälfte waren die T-34 besser als alles, was Deutschland hatte, und auch später zogen sie technisch beinahe gleich. Unterlegen war auf russischer Seite, besonders zu Anfang, die Ausbildung der Offiziere, die Logistik, und...

@chrisschmitz @GFreiNews Der KV-I war außerdem für sein Gewicht unterbewaffnet. Auch beim T-44 ff spielte Ergonomie eine untergeordnete Rolle, wobei man schon durch L&L Sherman gemerkt hatte, was das an Kampfkraft ausmacht.

@chrisschmitz @GFreiNews Sorry also weder der T-34 noch der KW-1 waren so führende Konzepte, sei es 2 Mann Turm (T-34), fehlende sinnvolle Kommandantenkuppeln, Beobachtungsmöglichkeiten, Motor und Getriebkühlung, Federung (T-34).....nur von äußeren Form auf ein sinnvolles Konzept zu schließen ist gewagt.

Germany had no real defence on it's western border and beside some skirmisches and 1 half succesfull attack nothing was done by France.
