@daviddownie17 It's mad lad, yeah okay it hits his hand but it's whilst heading the ball. If his arm was away from his body and he's stopped the Celtic player making contact then fair enough. VAR in theory is a good thing,but the people who implement and enforce it are crap.

@Benjwinst It's timing. Had the Conference existed during Moyes's first spell, we'd have won it (probably a few times). The change to the format have really reduced the quality of the Europa and Conference so the English teams, even bottom half ones, should at least be getting to the semis.

@daviddownie17 Alright mate, it sounds like you want a proven top-level goalscorer (so does everyone). But realistically can we afford one? Will they want to come for likely no Europe Everton? Assuming they don't, our best bet is to try and sign a younger CF who can become a top player.

@daviddownie17 Also, look at some of the people in the top scorers list, Watkins, DCL,Welbeck, Mateta... What were their numbers at 23 years of age? None of them are world beaters, but all good PL forwards and you'd take them tomorrow. People get written off far too early these days.

@_Furey1878 Many clubs would be glad they didn’t get him. 15 goals in 83 games for PL sides. He’s 23, not sure “promising young” is relevant to him. At what stage do you stop saying young?

@daviddownie17 Chelsea was the wrong move for him, was too big a step. Only had 2 seasons in the PL, 12 goals for a crap Ipswich in his 1st season is good. I doubt Chelsea could ask for much more than the 30 mil they spent on him, these days that isn't mad (Barry 🙃). Clubs will be in for him.

@daviddownie17 Depends, Dave. Knowing what we know about how the club was being ran, relegation would have sent us into admin. Not worth it imo. In a hypothetical scenario in which we know we won't go into admin and likely be back in the PL in a few years, then it probably would be worth it.

@Benjwinst A right back is more pressing mate, you have 3 decent CBs without Branthwaite. Though if we make Europe we'll need an extra CB for depth. Either way I'd rather we spend on a right back and maybe look for a loan or someone decent on a free at CB.
