Here’s the deal though, their only real addition at LB this off-season has been KEO in the 5th round. Bernard can’t stay healthy, Williams is in the final year of his deal. Why has there been NO effort to add legitimate depth there? Praying for health at LB but had to use a 2nd rounder (after trading up) to nab a CB for depth in case of injuries 🤷🏻‍♂️

I've been consistent in that I think Von can still play in a limited role. He was totally fine here his last year, and was still a good pass rusher on limited snaps last year. Problem is there is a bit of a log jam of meh talent in the DL room. I'm not sure he moves the needle enough to add.

He’s definitely gonna play but you don’t need to spend premium assets on a dime CB. The bigger problem is the Bills have never had that big time impact player outside of Josh in January. Best place to land one is first two days of draft. Picking CB back to back years means one of those picks now has no chance to be one of those impact players. Bills had 3 day 1/2 picks this year and used one on a 29 year old WR and another on a backup. Less than ideal

Like many, I'm not a huge fan of #Bills drafting CB in round 2. But Brandon Beane is definitely right about one thing. He's gonna play this year. Last 5 years, Bills 3rd CB has been on the field at least 300 snaps. That's about 30% of the season.

This year DB, we always are calling up D line and LB.

I do agree McD was 85% of the problem and Beane 10%. Neither terrible but McD was a D coordinator who got over promoted. Beane is great with contracts but seems lost when building a roster design that can win in 2026.

@ChrisTrapasso @BuffRumblings Well their NT makes bank for a reason and had over 400 snaps… for the basis of this defense to work, that NT HAS to keep the Mike/WILB clean . It’s truly not about how much they weigh, it’s a height / leverage / lower leg anchoring ability with Vice grip hands kinda guy.

@_Gerry_N @SalSports @WGR550 We’ve invested a lot in the DL so if everyone is by all accounts healthy to go we have to figure it out. Is Carter ideal? Prob not. Who knows he’s barely got any nfl snaps under his belt. Maybe he’ll surprise. Just like Dorian at LB he’s starting imo.

@_Gerry_N @SalSports @WGR550 Clearly it’s more than height and weight. But the guys we have can be serviceable. The run D has never been our issue in the post season. Even last year with how bad it was, the run defense was a non factor in the playoffs. Couldn’t have mattered less.
