Churches are private property. In Minnesota, a journalist who enters a church with protesters, remains during a disruption, or questions congregants during a service is actively interfering with worship, violating Minn. Stat. § 609.28, and potentially Minn. Stat. § 609.72. Press credentials do not override trespass laws or the right to worship free from interference.
