@FortniteStatus hey why did I go from unreal 151 to 52,644? For reference this is for Zero Build Ranked BR. Is this going to get fixed? I don’t think I’ve heard yet about this fix if so.

Ranks have not been reset. We're working to fix a visual issue now where Ranked players may see your ranks lower than intended after yesterday's update. Your correct rank and progress is still tracked and we'll update you once this is fixed.

✅ The visual rank mismatch in Battle Royale & Zero Build has been resolved. Restarting the game should update your rank, and Unreal players should see correct leaderboard placement after playing a Ranked match. We're continuing to investigate a separate issue affecting Reload ranks, but your Ranked progress is still being saved. We'll update you once this is sorted.

Hey gang - when updating Crash Pad Jrs so you can find more, we unintentionally unvaulted Shockwave Grenades too. This has been reverted and Shockwaves are re-vaulted in Battle Royale for now. Expect to see them again soon! (in tomorrow's Power Hour and a special February update... 💘)

@JustTeddii Me personally as a ZB player, not a fan of the shocks removed. With that being said, they were going to stick with crash pads, up the spawn rate or maybe get rid of the 3 sec charge on the wings it.. because that really scuffs players landing right on you.

This is fundamentally not the case. The team came to their own conclusions, and don’t make decisions unilaterally based on a single opinion. The start of Season 1 had a combat fleeing issue that can spoil engagements. The team felt this needed a meta change and I support intentional experimentation. Like anything the team will monitor to refine and balance in future updates based on internal data and sentiment, with Fortnite having a great track record of vaulting / unvaulting items. If we are being honest with ourselves, as much as we all love shockwaves is it actually skilful to just throw one at your feet and immediately be able to escape an engagement? I’d love to read respectful opinions on this for and against; is it skill? Is it a crutch? Is the item a necessity? Are there other ways to rotate that are underutilised? To conclude; we shouldn’t tolerate targeting individual members of the community or the team so to keep this constructive dialogue going please stay respectful. No one person changes Fortnite, it’s always a team and community effort. Thank you 🤝
