All-in-all, this work led by my friend and colleague Tyler ties a neat bow on our PhD work. We always wondered how the dozens of traits we measured could be used together to make up aspects of longevity. Really cool how it all turned out! (3/3)

A key finding was that supplementation with threonine, which was linked to lifespan prediction, extended lifespan in flies. Importantly, we used Mendelian Randomization to demonstrate that threonine, along with other candidate metabolites, holds health relevance in humans. (2/3)
