@umzuvukilem It will certainly create an opportunity for smaller haulers to enter a more sustainable market to shunt from mine to siding but in reality the long hauls will become a lot more competitive ito pricing, generally becoming unsustainable for small fleet haulers.

Why do you guys assume the immediate fixing of rails will limit trucks. Who will take the commodities from the mines to the railway siding? Obviously it will be trucks meaning trucks will travel short distances meaning more money for truck owners😅

@umzuvukilem The reality is you everyone is looking to maximize their CPK and buyers are looking to reduce their transport costs, the middle ground produces a reduced CPK and often smaller transporters need to secure return loads some even opting for LTL to cover operating costs.

@umzuvukilem Unfortunately, the market is saturated and even though you may have 10-15 trucks for a dedicated route there are large competitors with even more vehicles that are happy to take the business at the reduced rate even with an empty return leg, due to volume.
