Our fiction reading this week from Scholastic SCOPE magazine…”How to Make S’mores”….Started with our prereading activities identifying the setting (including where other students on our team have lived) & worked collaboratively on reading closely and thinking critically!

Research shows that group work helps students develop skills valued by employers--problem solving, negotiation, conflict resolution, leadership, critical thinking, etc! Ss worked together to find the central idea of @Scholastic Scope article, "Lost in the Woods". 🦮🌲@SFMSLions

Hull Prairie Intermediate - Perrysburg
Students on 6Green had the opportunity to chat with Jennifer Dignan, writer and editor, and Christen Braithewaite, digital editor, of Scholastic Scope Magazine. The students had great questions and had the chance to give feedback to them, too!

Another engaging article thanks to @Scholastic scope magazine. Students made excellent connections. We can’t wait to dive deeper into the text tomorrow. @WheelerAvenue

After reading Scholastic Scope’s article on “should robots should look like humans?” we noticed a heavy majority for “No!” So, we shifted to, “is artificial intelligence overall good or bad for society?” THEN we had a lively pop-up debate in class! @_KELewis

my happiest childhood memories are my mom taking me & my brother to the public library on sweltering summer afternoons. This ❤️ letter captures the magic of libraries exquisitely. “the smell: a paper bouquet of nothing and everything…” nytimes.com/2023/02/14/boo…

Reader’s Theater is something they all look forward to! Thank you @Scholastic @_KELewis They really enjoyed The Dead Rising again. One student asked at lunch if we would be doing a play again soon.😊 #OFarmPride
