Honour based abuse (HBA) isn’t just one act - it can take many forms and can be very complex, the abuse is used to control, punish, or harm victims in the name of so-called 'honour.' Some of these include: 🔹 Physical Abuse – Assault, confinement, or even 'honour' killings. 🔹 Emotional Abuse – Threats, intimidation, and surveillance. 🔹 Forced Marriage – Being pressured or forced into a marriage against your will. 🔹 Financial Abuse – Controlling money, restricting access to education or employment. 🔹 Sexual Abuse – Rape, coercion, or virginity testing. 🔹 Online Abuse – Monitoring, blackmail, or threats using social media.
