@Isaacsogo I agree. It's called knowledge production not knowledge fabrication
English

The irony today is that some researchers publish data in journals that they cannot even reproduce in their own laboratories. All in the name of desperation.
Scientists and researchers are custodians of knowledge. The responsibility goes beyond publishing papers or chasing metrics; it involves producing data that can withstand scrutiny, be independently validated, and genuinely advance understanding.
Scientific progress is not sustained by the quantity of publications, but by the credibility, reliability, and reproducibility of the work produced.

I only know CNA and nobody has reproduced the kind of wave Purple Hibiscus produced. It ushered a new generation of writers. It's an insult to add and compare CNA to these new cats. I read HYS in one day, read Americanah, and I was seeing myself in Philadelphia even when I was in Ogun state. Aunty comot hand abeg. CNA should be compared to Okri, Achebe, Emecheta, Ngugi. Not even Teju Cole and Helon Habila. Adichie does not have a set. She graduated alone.

APC Governors Split Over Campaign Funds
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly intervened in a growing crisis within the APC Governors Forum over alleged 2027 campaign funds, with Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma at the centre of the controversy, according to The Will Nigeria.
Reports claim FAAC deductions were moved into accounts linked to Uzodimma under “Renewed Hope Ambassadors” and later “Renewed Hope Network,” with tensions rising after questions over spending reportedly went unanswered.

@ProfDNgong You're making feel getting to read this book again

@Nazbaby23 I agree with you. Guard sacred information very well. Jesus Christ told His inner cacaus, Peter, James and John not to tell anybody about certain things, and there were things He didn't still them until He had risen. Guard your mouth; guard your destiny.

Lena kept replaying it in her head.
The argument wasn’t even loud. No shouting, no drama just distance. The kind that grows slowly until two people stop reaching for each other.
When it ended, she told herself she was fine. But weeks later, she saw him again..laughing, lighter, looking like he had dropped a weight she never realized she was part of.
And something in her shifted. Not heartbreak. Not jealousy.
Just that quiet thought creeping in: “Damn… I fumbled that man.” She caught herself immediately and shook her head, almost annoyed.
Because the truth landed late: it wasn’t about losing him it was about realizing she only saw his value clearly after he stopped being hers.
And by then, he had already become someone she couldn’t reach anymore.

@thecreativexx Very powerful. I'm hardly impressed, but he pulled it so well....

@Isaacsogo That's the orientation you receive as you collecting tough grades from professors.
English

Yeah, I know PhD students usually take courses as part of their program requirements. And yes, there is often a minimum CGPA required to maintain scholarships and remain in good standing.
But I don’t think CGPA at the PhD level should be celebrated the same way it is in undergrad. The goal of a PhD is not just to ace classes or graduate with a 4.0/4.0.
The real measure is the research output, the discoveries, the publications, the impact, and the contribution to knowledge. That is what truly matters in the long run.

@OzumbaPros7380 @Rxbremen @lifeofdanel You're right as well. But most people were scoring between 300 to 350. That 380 is an overstretch. But 280 can't fetch you medicine or pharmacy in UNN
English

Back then, many Igbos living outside Igboland wanted to go to UNN, but they would rather go to schools close to their location.... Think of it, the most literate ethnic group is the Igbo, but they're spread across the region. Many Igbos are in UNILAG. In short, during my MA at UNILAG, 60% were Igbos. It was closer to us.
English

Years ago, UNN, UNiZIK, FUTO and other South East universities featured on the 1st choice of the nation's brightest students.
Currently there seems to be a shift as none of them show up on the first choice of the best scoring students in JAMB.
Is this a cause for concern, or simply a one of example?

English

@OzumbaPros7380 @Rxbremen @lifeofdanel C'mon, comot body joor. My alma mater. Once you score less than 290 for pharmacy and medicine, just be target 380 for UTME
English

@Rxbremen 7. FUTA (Science and technology/student mentorship)
English

1. UNN (No 1 in Research and the most cited university according to Scimago & Scopus),
2. UI (Legacy university),
3. UNILAG (innovation and technology)
4. OAU (Centre for teaching and research)
5. Unilorin (Administrative and academic efficiency)
6. ABU Zaria (Infrastructure, research and academic efficiency)
