Cameroon: Cavaye Yeguié Djibril Refuses to Return Official Vehicles The succession at the presidency of the Cameroonian National Assembly has sparked an initial administrative standoff. Cavaye Yeguié Djibril, who led the lower chamber for 32 years, is demanding the return of several official vehicles, including a recent Mercedes-Benz and another luxury car, as well as the entire fleet of vehicles older than ten years. Absolutely right! I teach Cuban foreign policy in Africa. And my students are always surprised when I tell them that Cuba was the only country to defeat Apartheid South Africa militarily. Not once but twice (1975 & 1988), protecting Angola from occupation from Apartheid SA and playing big role in independence of Namibia. Cuba’s crucial role in the defeat of the Apartheid regime, at a time when it was supported by the US and its allies, is not a history Europeans and global elites are told or taught.
