"I'm trying to get it. Like, that's bullshit that the Hockey Hall of Fame has it." Jack Hughes told me he wants his "golden goal" Olympic puck back from the HHOF, which began displaying it in Toronto this week. My exclusive with the @NJDevils star: espn.com/nhl/story/_/id…

I still think it’s incredible Jack Hughes thought the puck should belong to him. Especially surprising considering how hockey culture is all about “team first.” (Not to mention, common sense and also historically that’s what happens)

@matthews2hell The WBC is an exhibition tournament. The Olympics, MLB, and NHL are the ones that count. Let's see: Current champs: Oly Hockey: USA (M&W) NHL: Florida Panthers (USA) MLB: LA Dodgers (USA) Nah, we good down here, Syrupeans.

@kckrebs37 @barn_burner19 When it’s not the american in question’s puck. I’m assuming you think Jack Hughes has the right to that puck. This just shows how much americans don’t understand about hockey, international or otherwise.

Mason Miller and most of Team USA immediately took off their silver medals

Jack Hughes on the Hockey Hall of Fame puck controversy tonight: “Obviously honored that the puck’s there. It's like the most special place in hockey. So yeah, I'm honored that it's there. Obviously, I think things were taken crazy [this week]. That's just the way I felt."
