Did I click out of that position when hindsight there was nothing wrong with it. What made me do that? Your Sub-conscious pain avoidance mechanisms did. You cannot bear have a position that's green go back into the red and " give back money " Even though you are only but one third of the way to target. Money becomes available and you jump at the opportunity to make some. Justifying your early exit with some other rationale like " oh it wasn't going up there or down there anyways " Only For price to continue in your original direction & getting to target 20 odd minutes later.. What helped me is having a auto breakeven at for example once +50 is seen for target of +100. Then take a walk around the house.. Leave it alone. Just do not sit there & watch tick for tick. Remember staring at the screens doesn't mean your right or wrong its also not going to make it go to target any faster.. #Trading #Finance

Somehow people on twitter think that getting payouts on these sim accounts is the hallmark of trading success. Taking into account the PT from this eval that would put this at 10k profit in ~1 week. This is a 50k account size, because 1-2 lots is more than enough to make 1-2k a day $7400 balance and I can withdraw 2k of it, and then I have to sit here and make 150 a day to withdraw the rest. This is stupid What brings me satisfaction in a trade is reading positioning, and catching a 30-40 pt move in $ES, high R trades, reading exhaustion correctly From a math perspective, I reached the max balance for this account size, in just 5 trading days ~ 7k I still need 4 more weeks of 150/day = 3k The max for this account is 5 payouts of 2k or 10k total You will notice the last 3 numbers says “003” so it didnt take 100s of funded accounts to do this. I have ADHD so I do struggle with taking these props serious. It’s not real money so quite frankly I dont care about it, but what I found it is that mentality started to bleed into my other trading. More than half the time I’ll throw positions on without stops cuz I just dont really care — it’s just sim. Unfortunately when you factor in the time component it, does not make sense to spend more than 1-2 weeks passing an eval (** for me **) The more shit you manage and juggle, all eats away at ur bandwidth. Therefore u usually will trade worse with more things going on in your life. Just how it is. With props, you are incentivized to over leverage the eval to pass faster, then also the first 2 days to “build a buffer” I do not support or promote this type of trading whatsoever, and I actually have articles on substack demonstrating responsible trading w a 25k account — promoting the exact opposite of this. The same lil kids pressing me are sitting here with 6 figures in prop firm spend and blowing up accounts. One of them was flipping a 25k account for a 1k payout. Give me a fucking break.
