@tinyrowlet i keep saying this, i see nothing about how fucked our planet is. We used to get this shit a couple times a year in the middle of summer and now its a regular occurrence in spring ffs.
English

the uk is a cold rainy climate and us hitting 34.8°C in spring should concern everyone but no keep laughing about how we can't handle heat
Pop Base@PopBase
Today becomes the UK’s hottest day during May in recorded history at a high of 34.8C. (bbc.co.uk/news/live/c1w2…)

@loogetv @Mal1gno @BlizzardCS @Blizzard_Ent @BlizzardCSEU_ES @BlizzardCSEU_EN They can permanently ban you for quite literally no reason at all; via false-positives, false-mass reports, etc. You don't need to have any prior 'strikes'.
English

Blizzard typically will not ban you from buying Gold one time.
I’m fairly certain you are playing coy and have been caught with the same behavior on multiple occasions.
Unfortunately with blizzard, your strikes do not go away and if they see an obvious pattern you did it to yourself.
I’d bet good money if you pulled up all prior warnings or bans, it’s deserved.

I will always make decisions that are in the national interest.
It’s why we aren’t getting dragged into the Middle East conflict, and why we are fighting to protect your living standards.
And while opposition parties have responded by dividing communities, we respond with hope and pride.
Pride in our communities, and the hope of a country that’s better for our children.
That’s what we’re fighting for. Vote Labour on Thursday 7 May.

@TheBritLad Crazy how many people fall for this facebook ragebait slop...

@ScarcityStudios Been a while since I was last there, 2014-2015. Lenny sitting outside the front gate with his newspaper, 10/10 guy. RIP of course.

Good point, but in this instance specifically? Everyone is to blame I imagine, unfortunately.
Big companies do the most damage, but smaller businesses aren't fault-free.
At what point do you say .. - "there are already three vape-shops on this street, perhaps my shop will do better elsewhere"
But at the same time, a big corporation like Tesco/Aldi being planted in your area doesn't do wonders for smaller businesses like a Butchers, for example.
Private landlords just rent out to whoever pays their rent on time, but also at the same time it's 4 private unit owners stopping the development of Aldi's plan for Ravencourt. That's a little tricky, though.
With that being said, private landlords renting properties to anyone who pays their rent on time. They don't care about the high-street, they only care about the rent, hence the reason we have (2.5-3) vape shops within a proximity of 30 seconds. :)

@_MEZK @irenegarth1946 @Callum_XXVII So who are you blaming for this?
I’m old enough to remember when people shopped every day because most women didn’t work, and most households didn’t have fridges
They visited the grocer, butcher, greengrocer… then along came Tesco’s and they loved it
The shop owner, not so much
English

"Those places weren’t there 10/15 years ago? The shops there in 2010/2015 weren’t viable because locals didn’t use them So they closed and other businesses took over"
Ah yes, so I guess that's what happened to "Kanu Hair" in 2009, they didn't get much use so they sold up or rebranded to "Fusion", another hairdressers! .. Well, that's until Fusion sold up or rebranded to "Sorella", another hairdressers!
Then again, I think if we walk about 30 seconds down the street (in the present time, go past Apo's barber, go past WOW barber) we could have visited "Just Mens" that was there also in 2009! Ah, but they sold up or rebranded also, long live "Little Nicks!" .. Well, until they sold up or rebranded into.. -checks notes- "The Godfather". - Stick with me, 2026 is the year of the mullet, I can feel it!
I have a great idea, a million pound idea that will set us up for life, right there on that high-street! Brace yourself..
A hairdressers/Barber. What do you think? You in?
Simply put, people would love to use shops on the high-street if they had a use for them. They don't have all that much use for multiple barber, hairdresser, gambling, vape, tanning & phone repair shops.
What they did have a use for, was the Barclays & HSBC branches.. which were closed down in 2016-2017.
"This pattern has been repeated over and over since supermarkets arrived in the 70’s" - Correct, and when your high-street has nothing actually useful in it, you can see where the decay starts, no? Can't imagine you can buy a chicken at a tanning-salon, or can you? You ever know.

@irenegarth1946 @Callum_XXVII Ah yes, let's shop local you say? Okay Irene; enlighten me. What use would a person like me have for;
Hair & Beauty Salon x 4
Barber x 3
Nail Salon x 3
Carpet shop x 3
Tanning/Sunbed x 3
Vape shop x 2
Phone Repair x 2
Gambling x 2
All in in that same video, same high-street.
English

@Callum_XXVII It happened under the Tories & ppl should blame themselves instead of supporting their local shops & businesses, they buy online.

@Keir_Starmer Renewal means:
"Public services that work for people."
I've spent 27 hours waiting in A&E this year alone. 13 of those hours were a week ago today. Many upped and left, and I don't blame them.
You've done absolutely nothing but worsen it.
You're a lawyer, not a leader.
Resign.
