Ok, I've seen enough. I'm calling it. There is a religious revival happening in the United States and the UK at least, and it is being led by young people. If you care about birthrates, this is good news because the faithful have a lot more children. Happy Easter! 🧵

This is MAGA 2025 And no one is taking it from us

@boydinst @carolineccurtis I asked earlier what you wish to do? Do you wish just for a repeal then nothing? Or do you wish to replace. If you wish just for a repeal how would you deal with the outcomes of said repeal?

@ElbridgeColby. I’ve been saying this ever since Russia launched its second invasion of #Ukraine in 2022. I’m glad we are on the same page here. We need to stop our handwringing about how our forces are too small and therefore we must focus on the #Pacific instead of the #Atlantic, which is a false dichotomy anyway. The reality is that there is no free lunch. We need to double our defense spending, expand the size of the force, and re-think how we procure weapons and especially what we buy when it comes to weapons and munitions. The defense industrial base will not get fixed until the gov’t issues long-term contracts that will impel our defense and space contractors to invest in new capacity. We need to re-shore and restore our industrial base so that we can produce weapons and munitions at speed and scale, with redundancies built-in in case of war. Here’s something I wrote a while back; may be of interest. atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/new-atla…

Barring an unlikely Ukrainian breakthrough, this was bound to wind up with new Ukrainian calls for the US to enter the war. Biden says the future of world democracy is at stake. Blinken says Ukraine is fighting for our democracy. Of course they’re going to ask us to join in.

In WWII, the US needed one dictator (Stalin) to defeat the other (Hitler). That terrible predicament was in large part due to isolationists blocking the better path: US leadership to defeat Hitler w/o Stalin’s help.

@ElbridgeColby I love how $2 billion to oppose China's $700+ billion/yr military, but $60 billion per year on top of Europe's aid isn't enough to stop Russia's paltry $100 billion/yr. These people are lying to your face & don't even respect you enough to make it plausible. 🙄

Please look at the faces admiral. Watch the body language. Did you see one head nod in agreement? Or do you see skepticism, failure to fully comprehend & zone outs? War is knocking admiral and these sailors will be in harms way. Word salad leadership is no longer acceptable.

I’m not tired of winning. Anduril is going to expand their portfolio to everything. They have enough scale that they can target every major hardware program. I bet it’s 20x lower cost too when all is said and done. When new A10?

This is triple-bank shot logic. Supporting Ukr is a noble goal, but must be done in a way that doesn’t detract from supporting a denial defense of the first island chain. What matters most for deterring China is the military balance of power in Asia. Full stop. @ElbridgeColby
