Ok but like, do y’all ACTUALLY believe Eggman had a growth spurt in his mid 40s? Because I really find that hard to believe. And no, just because Sonic has elements that don’t make sense doesn’t mean there can’t be unbelievable stuff. The suspension of disbelief has its limits.

@TheFatherMoth I don’t even really think this is necessarily a bad thing because for the most part sonic is several separate loosely connected little stories that need to do their own things lol

@_MasterOfPasta I don't think I've seen a way more inconsistent character than Sonic. To powerscale him is like trying to pinpoint what the weather will be for all of time and then only acknowledge sunny days.

@QuinElz do also keep in mind that (at risk of taking things too literally and being a hypocrite) that most of gens doesn’t show perfect recreations of the past events anyways

@QuinElz and it’s not like this even really affects Sonic’s scaling, it just means that outside of specific abilities we see him learn on-screen he was more or less always as strong as he is now lol
