Is This the End of an Era for Putter Design? We are on the verge of a revolution in putter design. At some point most things become obsolete. It's just the way the world works. Evolution. Back in the mid 80's the cassette tape replaced the 8-track, and if you said you saw that coming you would most likely be lying. Only a decade later (1991) CD sales surpassed cassettes. Now, we carry 1,000's of songs in our pocket. In the putter world we had the bullseye (released in 1940's), that got replaced by the PING Anser in 1966. The Anser became the gold standard and it has held that crown ever since. But, that reign might be over. THE TEST For this test, we wanted to find out two things: 1. Are zero torque putters better than traditional putters? 2. Which zero torque putter performs better, the L.A.B. or the PXG Allan? In order to find out we included 4 putters in our test: 1. @craigvn @MyGolfSpy Comparing a conventional mallet v blade there will be vastly different results. Throw in torque v no torque it’s an unfair comparison. Compare the Link v a blade not a Df3

Whilst I lay here on me sun lounger I am Thinking about organising a golf day in the next couple of months. I’ll get a few celebs to come and play aswell. Maybe try get Rylan to turn up. If this gets a lot of interest start organising it and we can get a load of me lovely followers have a game of golf an a right few beers after. Who is up for it. You’d think with less than two weeks before the Open Champ starts, the R&A could give me a decent idea of whether I’m playing it or not… but nope. All I’ve gotten is “you have a slight chance” 🙄 My friend who looked at all the qualifications has given me more info than the R&A has. There’s still 6 spots left and if they fill it with OWGR, then I’m most likely in but even that they won’t say anything about.

@secretclubprov Our graphite workshop practical assessment was the last morning after a night in the bel air. One of the lads had a heavy night and went into a day dream whilst heating the hosel to remove the head. Stood there so long we all heard the clubhead hit the floor when the shaft melted

Gutted to have to kindly decline an unexpected invite to this week’s @ADT_golf event at @rumanzagolf due to a diary clash. Many happy memories there in the opening event beating major winners around a superb course. Hopefully i’ll get another invite in the future 🤞
