The kiosks are exceptionally slow - people at my stop skipped paying because train came while we waited :(

@DruggiePolitic @realdocv This!! When my father was in the hospital dying w/ terminal cancer, staff accused him of exaggerating pain & refused serious pain meds, citing his history of addiction. He spent his last hours in agony while my mother begged nurses to help. The lack of compassion was horrific

Abyssinia is a beloved fixture of this neighborhood (pre/post Fiume controversy aside), but there were three other victims in this accident and the impact on their lives is all but reduced in this article to the type and year of the cars they were driving. :(

Can we *please* stop reporting on these accidents in terms of cars hitting cars (& businesses)? 3 people fled after ramming a massive truck into 3 other people who were in cars. More people /pedestrians narrowly missed being hit. The harm is so much bigger than property damage.

@_MeredithWooten I and my fiance were hit in the crash. We were in Tesla. If you have more videos and pictures, Please do share with me.

Around 5pm I heard a crash, then saw three teenagers running away from a bad hit-and-run at 45th & Locust. Called 911 and ran to the corner to see if anyone needed help. Folks were badly shaken but miraculously everyone walked away with only minor injuries.

@WPhillyTurkey They had all been in the (presumably stolen) truck. Blew through the intersection, clipping & spinning the Honda and then crashing into Abyssinia. This is a busy area with a cafe, bars, and restaurants - truly incredible no one was seriously injured!

@_MeredithWooten Had the three teenagers jumped out of one of the cars or was there another car that hit and ran? Glad no one was seriously hurt.

Tow trucks were here immediately, followed by the fire department and then an ambulance. L&I just got here, but still no sign of the police . . .
