@Emko_93 We’ve completely neglected set pieces as a chance creation method and I’m meant to believe it’s sustainable how we’re playing
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 Man this has been a issue for years under sarri he can’t coach an attack u can’t always blame the players for problems that have been there for years under him
How wasn’t it an issue last year
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 Well that's kind of the point I'm also making. Our wingers and Maldini rarely attack space pockets, despite it being one of the fundamental aspects of Sarri's style of play. That was the whole purpose to play with a false 9: to create space for the wingers...
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 There’s also no movement off the ball so it makes it incredibly easy to press us
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 If the entire tactical system is flawed why does it actually work when the players are more dynamic and Dele runs inside the box or behind the defence?
1-2s are not "natural" to any system. And if they were why didn't we do them enough if Sarri wants more ball movement?
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 Because sarri’s ball movement is 3 yard passes to draw the opposition unfortunately it’s not 2016 and players are physically superior to 10 years ago
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 Ya Milan a bit differently cause they tried to press but the principles all remained the same
Slow lifeless boring
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 If you don't see a difference in how we played vs Parma, vs Milan and vs Juve, then there's no point in me trying to convince you...
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 I don’t think u realize there’s no difference in how we play no matter who we play
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 It can be the right option if you play vs weaker teams who exclusively rely on counter-attacks like Parma. When we play stronger teams we're the ones who have to rely more on counters because we have Nuno, Isaksen and Dele who are better in open spaces.
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 It really doesn’t when the entire tactical system is flawed
1-2’s are a normal part of the game its not something that Sarri told them to do I see nothing about our attacking set up that’ll lead to any sort of success
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 One of the points I mentioned was the one-twos, so yes, I did prove something. And Lazzari also did dribble past 2 players at one point and managed to get a shot away. Basically what Isaksen should have done during his 50+ minutes.
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 No it wasn’t it was a 1-2 where he took a few touches in and shot that’s more for linkup then it is dribbling
You didn’t prove anything
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 Btw, basically everything I've said in this thread is supported from what we saw after the changes vs Parma. Noslin got a shot away because of a successful dribbling and Lazzari created more chances alone than Marusic and Isaksen combined.
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 So playing for the 0-0 is the right option… ok
U realize that’s the risk of being a strong team at home is committing men into the box the way we’re playing is scared
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 Putting 3-4 men in the box means you're going to get destroyed on most counter attacks. Especially against teams like Parma who have counter specialists like Strefezza and Valeri.
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 It’s far too little
We need to have 3-4 in the box not 1-2
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 It's usually Dele who attacks the area as he's the more physical players who can win duels. He's done it in other matches, why didn't he do it yesterday? Again, Sarri complained about being too static too, so I don't think he's telling the players to hold their positions.
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 FA’s worst season was that year so he really wasn’t doing that
Well the same issues then are the same issues now no matter what we still don’t get into good positions
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 I would be able to tell the difference because in 23/24 we still had Felipe Aderson and Zaccagni who continously tried 1v1s and Zaccagni was one of the most fouled players in Europe. Our main issue was that we didn't have someone who actually tried to shoot from good positions.
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 Somehow we didn’t have these issues last year
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 What system works even when wingers don't attack space or try to take on their opponent individually?
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 To get touches u also need to have players occupying attacking spaces we don’t do that
You also need more then 1 player in the box to do that but that’ll never change
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 To get touches in the box you have to get into the box first. And when you play with a front 3 against a low block (used by most teams in the league) the only ways to enter the box are beating the opponent in a 1v1 or using one-twos to beat the marking. Who did it yesterday?
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 Because there’s been no change and the same issues in both years that’s concerning
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 How is it an excuse if it's true?
How is te lack of creativity caused by tactical flaws? Cancellieri struggles to stop a ball. Isaksen tried 3 dribblings and succeded in none. The only chances we created came from quick one-twos or dribblings from Maldini, Nuno, Taylor or Pedro.
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 I blame Sarri because this is the same game I’ve watched all season
How is it possible I can name 5-7 games that were played exactly like this
Sarri refuses to adapt
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 How is a system that plays with wingers, mezzalas and a false 9 static in itself? When you choose certain characteristics it's because you want more movement. Why are u even blaming Sarri when Isaksen was so bad yesterday? Not to mention Cancellieri who has a horrible first touch
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 Here we go the typical Sarri excuse
We can have good or mediocre players we still play poorly
U realize lack of creativity is a bi product of tactical flaws the team doesn’t get into good attacking positions
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 Pedro starts over Noslin because we can't afford to make two substitutions in the same position if Pedro gets injured.
You see tactical flaws, I see a lack of creativity.
Btw, can you tell me any player from our attack that would start for any of the teams that are above us?
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 As I said, we're missing creativity from the wingers. Isaksen was clearly affected by the failed qualification to the WC with his national team. He didn't make 1 successful dribble yesterday. Sarri also said that we were too static and we didn't move enough off the ball, which 👇
English

@fil_o_laziale @Emko_93 If Sarri wanted winger he wouldn’t play Pedro over Noslin
Im not sure how u watch this team and think there isn’t clear tactical flaws like it’s right in front of our eyes
We might have the worst attacking system in serie a and it isn’t even close
English

@_MichaelNardi @Emko_93 is why he brought on Lazzari, who likes to play one-twos and attack the opponents defensive line. But ik you think Sarri doesn't want his wingers to dribble, although it's total bs, because then he would've never chosen to play with a system that relies primarily on wingers.
English
