@Samgeniusfire @elonmusk It handled commuting through Queen Creek pretty well and that is pretty risky. I see at least 3 wrecks a week.

@elonmusk “9x safer” sounds impressive… until you realize it’s comparing controlled, mapped, fair-weather driving to chaotic real-world conditions. Let FSD handle dense city traffic, bad roads, and human unpredictability everywhere then we’ll see if it’s still 9x, or just 9x marketed.

@elonmusk Can we please end the dishonesty of setting preferences and pre-training to LLM and then asking questions knowing people can't see that and most don't know you can?

You can't trust Trump—ever. Now the mentally ill US president is blocking the opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge—it connects Windsor (Ontario, Canada) with Detroit (Michigan, USA) and is intended to facilitate the flow of goods. The construction (US$6.4 billion) was entirely financed by the Canadian government. And then there are European leaders who have ordered billions of dollars' worth of F-35 fighter jets from the US, which Trump can ground at any time.

If you buy Bitcoin at $126,000 and it goes to $88,000 you can sell it and buy it back 6 seconds later you still have the same one Bitcoin But you can realize a capital loss of $38,000 for tax purpose

When we talk about authoritarianism, it’s not just Donald Trump. Musk owns X Bezos owns Twitch Zuckerberg owns Instagram and Facebook Larry Ellison controls TikTok Billionaires increasingly control what we see, hear and read.

@allenanalysis And yet none of them realize the problem is the person who has been in office for 34 years, most of which preaching the same thing while he does nothing. Why does the left love lifelong politicians who only seem to help themselves while pointing fingers at who to blame instead.

Bernie Sanders says it plainly: asking billionaires and giant corporations to pay what they owe isn’t “radical” — it’s basic fairness. The crowd knew it. Chanted it. Tax the rich. That’s the bare minimum for a functioning society.

@Acyn Is everyone here really this silly? The problem isn't math but incorrect word choice. If current prices are 400% to 600% more than what other countries pay and wants to force companies to ensure we are the lowest, then it is being reduced by the inverse of that. 75% reduction.

Dale: He spoke of cutting prescription drug prices by 400 to 600%. Those figures are mathematically impossible if you cut it by more than 100%, people would get paid to get their medications, which of course is not happening.

Bernie Sanders: “Elon Musk owns more wealth than the bottom 52% of American households. It is insane that the top 1% owns more wealth than the bottom 93%. Billionaires are flourishing and 60% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.”

@garyseconomics W Why would you use a chart on worldwide wealth to discuss taxation in the U.S ? Of course many on the list are here, but it makes no sense to do so unless it is because you liked the way that chart looked in regards to your agenda

Why we need to tax the super rich more. Their wealth is growing MUCH faster than everyone else's. And they're using it to outbid you for real resources: housing, assets, healthcare, education and everything else of real value.

"Affordability" can’t be another poll-tested slogan that politicians throw around. If we are serious, for example, about “affordability in health care,” we must ask one simple question: Why do Americans pay almost twice as much as every other major country for their care?

@maziehirono The real question is if democrats cared so much and knew this was going to come, why didn't they extend it in advance last year? Hell, why did they only make it 3 years during covid? Oh that's right, they did all of that on purpose to virtue signaling and pretend to care now.

At the end of the month, when your health care premiums have skyrocketed, remember that Democrats had a plan to lower costs by extending the ACA tax credits, and Republicans refused to vote with us. This health care crisis and its insanely high prices are all Republicans' doing.

Premiums should be $0 Deductibles should be $0 Copays should be $0 Medical debt shouldn’t exist. Everyone could have guaranteed healthcare with Medicare for All if Congress started prioritizing our healthcare over insurance industry profits — and we’d save $650 billion per year.
Acyn@Acyn

Johnson: We're working on a package of legislation that will reduce premiums for all Americans, not just 7% of them. And and I've been talking to every one of these colleagues in the tough districts about that. So stay tuned. There's more to come.

Nearly 40% of newly minted billionaires this year received their wealth through inheritance. This is the highest figure since UBS started releasing its annual billionaire wealth report in 2015. Another reminder that the myth of the "self-made" billionaire is just that, a myth.
