Simple system Typography. Grid. Negative space. Creative Direction. Taste. A dash of AI. It was always a dream as a designer to have great assets. Now we can finally create them (as far as our imagination can go) for the systems we design. Images from the AI Prompt Library. Dropping soon. Also interested in this Figma file? Let me know.

The most iconic Murakami trait Our dive into Murakami Drip keeps gaining. Next up is probably the most recognizable trait - the one by which most people instantly identify Murakami’s genius. Of course, we’re talking about the flowers. From collaborations to pop art, there are hardly any spaces these famous blooms haven’t reached. Hope their story is as interesting to you as it is to me. The motif appeared in the mid-90s while Murakami studied nihonga in Tokyo. Inspired by the setsugetsuka theme (snow, moon, flowers), he painted dozens of blooms on one stem - which became his signature smiling daisies. First seen around 1995, they evolved from rainbow flowers to Flower Ball, gold-panel works, and even pixel NFTs. Murakami said there’s a darker layer behind it. The flowers reflect repressed emotions and Japan’s post-WWII trauma. The smile is a forced mask over pain, while the closed eyes hint at suppressed feelings. In #CloneX, Murakami flowers show up in hats and the Rainbow Flower Puffer. There are roughly 250 of these Clones in total. I'll post my favourite one. To be continued...

Rephrased: The Jane Street question is the wrong frame. This isn’t about one firm — it’s about the Bitcoin ETF structure itself. Every Authorised Participant (Jane Street, JPM, Goldman, Citadel, etc.) operates under the same Reg SHO carve-out: they can create ETF shares without the normal constraints of short selling. That’s not misconduct — it’s how ETFs work. But it creates a structural edge. APs control creation/redemption. In theory, if an ETF trades off NAV, arbitrage should close the gap. In practice, the arb players are the same entities with creation rights — meaning incentives differ from third-party traders. The key nuance: hedging doesn’t require spot Bitcoin. Short ETF exposure can be hedged with futures or correlated instruments. If the hedge is derivatives instead of spot, no real BTC needs to be bought. The natural spot demand reflex breaks. Under the old cash-creation model, inflows forced custodians to buy Bitcoin. That was a structural governor. In-kind creation removes it. APs can now source BTC later, OTC, or optimise timing across derivatives, funding and basis windows. Start of the process looks like normal market making. End looks normal too. The complexity lives in the middle. This isn’t proof of price suppression. It’s a structural observation. The real implication isn’t that APs “control price” — it’s that ETF plumbing can dilute pure spot price discovery. Capital inflows ≠ immediate coin demand anymore. Bitcoin was built to remove intermediaries. Now its price formation increasingly runs through them. The question isn’t whether one firm is the villain. It’s whether a TradFi ETF framework can cleanly map onto an asset whose value proposition was escaping that system in the first place.

Everyone is asking: "Is Jane Street why Bitcoin isn't at $150k?" As expected, the answer is trickier than the question. But it's also more structurally unsettling than the conspiracy theory itself—and once you understand the actual mechanics, you won't be able to unsee them👇

Technology is collapsing the distance between learning a craft and creating meaningful stories. But there’s a mindset I always encourage: pay attention to the order of operations. When you’re inspired by a piece of art or cinema, ask yourself — what sequence of people, processes, and energy made this possible? Reverse-engineer the creation, not just the outcome. Authentic storytelling will eventually transcend barriers to entry. But right now, every great work still carries the weight of collaboration, discipline, and layered craft. To transcend the past, you first have to understand the roles and forces that built it.

I've tried Blender several times, but even the basics are difficult to get started with😅 Most @RTFKT holders are probably like me The barrier to entry is high for creating my own work with my clones But with AI, things are different 🧑‍🎨
