Noah Ellington 2027 RHP • North Stanly HS Closed the win working the final 4 innings. Athletic mover with a loose, whippy arm. 4 pitches with the change-up creating deception and issues. Fastball at 85-87. Slider over Curveball. Late sweeping action in the slider at 77-79. @_NSBaseball

Ryder Sheffield 2029 SS/OF • North Stanly HS Has added strength with his upper level twitch since the Jr Future Games in July. Advanced runner. Hitting in the 3-hole in a solid lineup. 2 barrels on the night. Stable with good rhythm. Showed feel for the zone. Used each gap on the night. @_NSBaseball

Catchers rarely get the praise after a gem, but Huneycutt did a great job behind the dish tonight. The shutout doesn’t happen without him. He impacted the game greatly without even getting an at bat. 🫡

Back out in ROCO tonight, but this time it’s for non-conference baseball action. It’s the North Stanly Comets (5-2) here to do battle with the East Rowan Mustangs (11-1). It’s always a good night when baseball is being played at Staton Field. Follow along for updates! ⚾️⬇️
